Jim and his crew throughout the entire ATA only use 6 of the 12 Aerobolt II he requested.  Those Aerobolt II got Firenock target system and Aerovane II on it.  We are talking about shooting non stop for close to 4 days (from pre show monday all the way to thursday late) with bow like the RDT165, Telson 130, and the new ventilator.  Which none shot slower than 355fps, and who can forget the 425fps RDT165 monster.  Not once had my Firenock or the bolt not work, even shooting at spider target as close as 15 ft .  Unfortunately and fortunately, 2 of the bolts got robin hooded.  Jim promise to send picture of bolt as he got it with him.  So jim went home with 10 perfect bolt instead of 12 I handed him to use.   If any one have any doubt how tough and reliable my stuff is, this exercise should lick the doubters.

A sidenote, most crossbow arrows are still bent at 15 ft, while because of that super fast spine recover ability of Aerobolt II which straighten the arrow so fast may be the real cause of that robin hood can be done in 15ft.

I am just glad that Jim who manufacture the fastest crossbow out there wanted and uses my arrows to show off how wonderful his Scorpyds are.

I think I am going to have to bite the bullet and try some this year, expect to hear from me this spring.   Might have to look hard at the new ventilator as well. :thumbsu:

Dorge,

I for one am very impressed with the quality of not only the arrows but also your nock and insert and tip.

I can't wait till I have more time to shoot and get a better evaluation.

Oh and let's not forget your aerovane ll's

Dorge-

What is the weight of your 22" Aerobolt with your Aerovane? I'm thinking getting a few for my new Ventilator. I'd like to be at or as close as possible to 400fps when everything is set and ready for hunting.

The usual one are close to 450 with Firenock. I do have some at 400 at 22" with Firenock. Just remember. The less weight the less durable. The normal specs are on my web site.

Dorge,

I would like to thank you for letting us use your Aerobolt II arrows. I have tested several brands in the past and have never seen arrows take the punishment that we put your arrows through and they stood the test. I definitely will be using them with my Trijicon set up this year in deer season.

Thanks Again,

Rex.

Why do you prefer 22 inches ? Do you test the 450gr or the 400gr Aerobolt 2 (See 1h38 Dorge post)? Thanks

Do you need the heavier DS insert if you use the Q-nock for FOC?

Not exactly, it actually come up to $43.47 each with Firenock with extreme shock end cap.  Very proud for the price too!  You actually cannot get this kind of performance at any price.

Believe I can make it from 275 to 355 grains without any points.  The entire system is so customizable it is not even funny!

Not at all!  Remember with Firenock Aerovane, you can actually go as low as 5% FOC, so FOC is not even part of the equation!  Of course, you can use the DS to make it more front heavy!  With the way Aerobolt II is designed, the flexibility of components are what make this arrow so different.  the main shaft is 250 and 300 spine with 8.3 and 7.9 gn per inches, and the inner tube can be as short as 7 inches to as long as 18 inches for 22" at 8.5, 8.1, 8.3, 7.9, and 9.1 grain per inches, then the 2 choices of 17 grain and 50 grain of insert!  The combination is technically endless!

I am providing the best combo base on what had been tested.  But for those who want some specific spec, it can be made, just MORE money and time than standard as you need consultation and custom built!

Okay Dorge, I don't want to get too technical, so tell me what's going to be best for my Ventilator? I want to stay as close to 400fps as possible... Give me the best performance specs using the lighted nock and without the circuit. If I went with the 450gr arrow, what kind of speed should I expect from the ventilator? I want to give you my business, but I want to know what I'm going to have for performance.

Im with you Redm2, I dont mind paying for quality, I just like to know a little about what im buying, and if it's worth the extra money.

These are "very" expensive arrows, and if I buy any, I want the best length/weight specs possible for best speed/accuracy shooting the Ventilator #150

Dorge,Rex,and Jim should test and dial in the Ventilator shooting aerobolt 2's so we KNOW what is best:)

I will probably end up buying a few arrows from different companys, and doing my own testing. But it is nice seeing other tests.
