Just joking,Jetster, just joking.
Actually, I'd rather use a short traditional recurve in battle  than any other weapon that shoots an arrow because of the speed of loading and rate of fire.
Some guys actually think the Indians would have won the west if they used compounds but I say they would have been beaten more easily if they had.
