The Vapor Maker is a pump up bottle that works like a small garden sprayer.
The scent I used was 33 point buck also made by Vapor Trails Scents LLC. I mixed one 4 ounce bottle of 33 point buck to 8 ounces of water and pumped the bottle 25 times as instructed.
When I reached my hunting destination on September 10, 2011 the opening day of archery season here in Georgia, I sprayed myself liberally with the 33 point buck cover and attractant. I also sprayed a scent trail to my stand approximately 400 yards, I sprayed the air frequently once in the tree. At 8:10 a/m I had deer all around me most were downwind and were not alarmed, I passed on a small 6 point still in velvet but arrowed a doe at 15 yards downwind of me.
I was impressed with this product because it seemed to calm the deer and it absolutely covered my scent. I continued to use the Vapor Maker throughout the archery season but couldn’t get the deer in range for a shot. I did not have any deer spook that was downwind while I used the 33 point buck.
During the week long Muzzleloader season I was using 33 point buck when I killed a nice 8 point buck. I shot him at about 12 yards he was going straight toward the scent post I made using the 33 point buck. He was traveling like I was reeling him in.
Just wanted to say I have tried many products in my 40 years of deer hunting without any positive results until I tried this product. I am not affiliated with or compensated by this company, but I will say I will always use the Vapor Maker when I deer hunt.
