Hello. I am new to this site, but not to crossbow hunting. I have been hunting for 16 years with rifle, muzzle loader and crossbow. I have taken 5 deer with my crossbow, one of them last year will make the state record book.
I didn't get anything so far this season, but since archery season doesn't end until February 29th, I haven't given up yet.
I enjoy being outdoors with camera in hand.

Welcome! I've got family in Conway. Beautiful country down that way.

I have been over in your neck of the woods. We hunted Sylamore a few years ago. Didn't get anything, but I really enjoyed that area.
Never give up..I am still hoping to get some freezer meat before season ends.

Ar_Lady,

Hey, I live in Arkansas to... Mountain Home, right by Lake Norfork. I'm new to Crossbow, and Crossbow Nation, as well. Have a Barnett Wildcat C5, everyone seems to think it's a "starter" bow, but I put an arrow thru my work shed, LOL... (windy day), but I assume that kind of Kinetic Energy will down a Deer. Lots of public land to hunt around Bull Shoals and Norfork lakes, some areas are bow only. So I'm trying to learn as much as I can. Have only been out twice this season, saw 5 first time, all at dusk and 100 yds away. I bought the small Ghost Blind and am trying to make a Ghillie suit, I guess I like moving around??... will hunt Deer until Feb 29, then try for spring turkey.

Hope to compare notes with ya some time... any suggestions, (from anybody), most appreciated!
