I received a call this morning from  my sister. Dad has much more  blockage then expected. Doc used  ultrasound and doppler so today they go in  with dyes to see just how  much blockage there is.
Thanks for your prayers.

I'm doing okay although this body I am in isn't doing so hot. But the Lord is giving me a new one, so why worry about it?

DAVE,

Never forget that althgough we may not understand why they posponed the surgery until next week, an awful lot of prayers have been said for your Dad and The Lord Knows Best!! This delay is probably just an answer to prayer that we don't understand yet! We'll keep your Dad in our prayers for next week.

This poem prayer goes out to your Dad, you and your family:

We lift you up unto the Lord

For we know that He will hear

We pray that you may feel His presence

And know that He is near

We pray that God would intervene

Divinely healing you

That may be completely whole

Restored and made brand-new.

Dave, there are several reasons why the doc may have decided that the surgery shouldn't be performed right away.  Could be that certain medication given for a few extra days will help the surgery to go better.  You know what all I had to have done to my heart October before last.  The only thing that could be more major than what I had done would have been a transplant.  What I'm getting at is how heart surgeries have come a long way in the past few years, and once they get a game plan on the best way to go about it and get it done, odds are your dad will feel like a new man.  I'll continue to pray, and tomorrow I'll be sure to have everyone in the church pray for him too!

I look back on the time I had my surgery, and the one thing that amazes me most--and which I know was detrimental in my recovery--was all the people that were praying for me.  Just through everyone here on this site praying and passing my name onto your friends and fellow church members, well, it is hard to say how many had me in their thoughts.  Regardless what the outcome could have been, it was the most wonderful thing to know so many people were in my corner, and nothing could have comforted me more.  I know I speak for us all when I say we are blessed with having you in our lives, and you mean a lot to everyone of us, Dave.   It is an honor when one of our family allows us into their lives to pray on their behalf, and we are all pulling for you and your dad just as we do for all the rest of the family here on CN when asked.  Continue to let us know how things go with your dad.
