Yes the Scorpyd website has not been updated yet with the Ventilator. I'm assuming it's not officially released, however you can pre-order. They are supposed to start shipping by April sometime.

You will need to contact Jim or Rex to pre-order. Calling them is best option, however I can speak from experience that Rex is very good about responding to emails. You should be able to find their contact information on here. Let me know if you need help finding it.

Dave at Wyvern said he would have a better deal by the time all is said and done... I'm not sure when he is taking orders on the Ventilator?

Scorpyd is running a special of 100.00 dollars off to the first 100 that directly order the new Ventilator from Scorpyd (Remember, if you live within 25 miles of a Scorpyd dealer, you must order from that dealer though).  We can offer several different packages for our new Ventilator. The scopes that we offer with the Ventilator package is the Trijicon crossbow scope, Hawke 1.5-5 map or SR crossbow scope and the Leupold Crossbone crossbow scope. Just give Jim or me a call to get your order started.

Thanks Rex... You just pushed me over the edge!  I had pretty much made up my mind but now I'm in for sure.  I will give you a call in the morning...  this will be my first xbow and i can't wait!  Much thanks to everyone on this forum that fueled the fire...  great info that convinced me that you truly get what you pay for.  i figure my purchases will be few and far between when it comes to xbows so it is definitely important that I make the right choice...

MadArcher,

Here is Jim's (MrScorpyd) original announcement of the Ventilator:

Quote

New for 2012, Scorpyd Crossbows will introduce the VENTILATOR! This amazing crossbow will be available in 100#, 125#, and 150# draw weights, shooting up to 400 fps! Building on the past success of Reverse Draw Technology, the VENTILATOR utilizes the unique folding butt stock that is so popular with Scorpyd owners, but uses a vented forearm, specifically designed to incorporate a folding detachable bi-pod (optional). The Ventilator is a more compact version of the existing Scorpyd SLP. Barnsdale Laminated limbs are still standard. It is 35 3/4" long, 19 5/8" axle to axle uncocked, 12 7/8" when cocked, and a mass weight of 7.9# without accessories. It has an 18 1/2" power stroke, and all fasteners will be Torx head TITANIUM.

The Ventilator will be available in all black, or new for 2012, RealTree Hardwoods camo. It will be available as a Base Kit ($1349.00) which will include the crossbow, String Stops, Scope Rail, and Sled Cocker, or as partial or complete packages. We will be offering the NEW Hawke Optics 1.5-5 MAP as the standard scope on this bow, and the Hawke 1.5-5 SR, as well as other (to be announced at ATA) scopes will be optional.

We are now taking orders for the Ventilator. Get your order in early, as there will surely be a waiting list for this crossbow as the year moves forward. We will start shipping late March to early April.

I'm not 100%, but I think Hawke may have new scopes coming out for 2012 but their site hasn't been updated. This is just a guess.

Clint,

The 1.5-5 Hawke is a new scope. The 1.5-5 map has a speed dial that has a range to 425 fps and the 1.5-5 Hawke SR also has the speed dial but also has illuminated reticles. It operates like the old XB-30 but is less weight and the speed dial goes to 425 fps instead of 360 fps.
The 1.5-5 map retails for 109.00 and the 1.5-5 SR retails for 189.00.

If you are serious in buying the ventilator you owe it to yourself to call Rex or Jim to place the order over the phone which you will have all your answers answered from the only place that counts.  I know that is what I would do if I am ordering such a nice, top of the line killing machine!  It is not every day you can call the factory and have it your way and get the spec right from the actual people who make and design it.  Think about it, would you want it any other way?  So call Rex or Jim for CONSULTATION before the purchase is best, IMHO.  My nephew wanted one too, so he talked with Jim and now he know exactly what he wants, how much, and when.

It would be nice if they showed the Ventilator on the Scorpyd website. What is the cost? Specifications? Accessories?Does Rex work for Scorpyd?
