If I understand it right they are planning to make some changes and start renting advertising space. I may be wrong Urban legend can tell you for sure.

Good point, I guess their profit margin dictates the double the price... by the way, why is the crossbow nation store closed?
In the beginning, CN was never intended to be a store. It was an after thought during construction. I thought why not have a store if people are coming anyhow? So, I did. It was never a driving force for me because I had (and still do have) a full time job. As the site grew, so did the store traffic and as a result, I had less and less free time. That time is important to me because I also have a family with a 3 year old son and 5 year old daughter. It became two jobs for me, and I felt that it just wasn't worth it to me to keep the store open. Having half the inquiries for advertising be from other dealers (which I always turned down) also made my decision to close the store down easier because I will be opening up advertising for dealers once the new site is ready. Hopefully that will be soon. I also, have some plans for CN in the near future that would take up much of my time where I wouldn't be around to process orders either. I am also going to launch another forum based website in a few months that will take up even more of my time to get off and running. So, in the end, I dropped the store. It was fun while it lasted and I thank all that gave me an opportunity to serve them. When the new site is launched, it will have a store but only sell CN gear.
