Im about to pull the trigger on a ghost 400 and wondering what arrows you guys are putting through them with good results. I build my own and was thinking laser 4's and aluminum nocks that will weigh in about 506 grains hows that sound, little slower on the speed and should keep the KE up down range.

Rock74.  I know you said that you fab your own arrows. You replied to my post about the Barnett 515 grain arrows a few days ago.
Pull up Eagle Archery, and check out Barnett part number #16109. That is the 515 grain arrow . Can you make 5 arrows with field points for under $38.00. delivered to your door.
I am not being a smart a##, because I don't know a thing about building arrows at all.

I make a dozen gold tip laser 4"s and it cost me 51.11 plus shipping and use 2" blazer vanes, with shipping mine come to 5 bucks an arrow ,so for 37.99 for the barnetts and the shipping your up to around 9 dollars an arrow you can save money if you build you own and also have the enjoyment of shooting and killing with an arrow that you built to your specs.

Rock74. Thanks for the reply. Wow I can now see that you can save big time in making your own arrows. I am the type of guy that rather make my own things rather than just go out and by them. I best start to learn about building arrows. I was shooting my Ghost 400 the other day at 50 yards (with a bench) and ruined (robin hooded)  two of my four arrows. So now I need to get a few more to play with.
I want an arrow that's over 525 grains, and  good F.O.C.%, And use BH for deer  if I am that lucky.  This spring I am going to put in a  food plot, so most of my shots will be between 40 and 60 yards out.
I hunt in northern Minnesota.

if we could also discuss the issue of the scope on the Ghost 400. I like the scope but... the circles dont really help me pinpoint the shot perfectly. does anyone out there have any other scope options they use with light that there really like? let me know i have all season to convert.

thanks!!

Ronaround:  What scope did you get with your Ghost 400? My ghost 400 came with the 3X32 scope. I have a floating fleck that keeps moving around inside my scope. Every time you shoot it, the fleck moves to another spot. Plus the little  adj. turn  on the up and down of the scope was broken, the factory over turned the screw and split the plastic. In my book I would say that my scope is garbage. Today I was putting 3 shoots inside a two and a half inch circle at 60 yards, the fourth shot missed the target by a lot and  went 3 inches into a pine tree.  At first I was thinking my Spyderweb XL didn't stop the arrow. The arrow had been shooting fine all day, then this. All my shooting is done with a bench rest. Scope or me? Best buy more arrows FAST, and get a big backstop behind my target.
