Im going to be ordering a new scorpyd. Is there any advantage to the 100/125/150 models? Other then speed is there a difference in accuratcy.

This question might be best for the Scorpyd forum. However I'll give my opinion on the subject.

I ordered the 125 model because it should be easier to draw (I'm thinking about tree stand situation and my wife being able to cock it) and it should be less vibration. I'm also assuming that less vibration will result in less wear n tear on the bow itself. Also less vibration means quieter. All this and it's still wicked fast.

Now it's only a 25 pound difference so it remains to be seen if the difference in vibration will be noticable.

EDIT: There is also the possibility that 400 FPS may require a nicer arrow that can handle that kind of force. And by nicer arrow I mean more expensive. However at hunting distances (10 - 50yds) this may be a non issue. Just something else to think about.

PA Law requires at least 125lb draw weight.  The faster you go, the harder it get's to obtain consistent accuracy. The faster you go is directly proportional to the money and, time you will spend.

I think Im going to get another 125. Plenty of speed and its a tack driver at 70 yards.

Hi Bowmanxx
I didn't mean to sound like speed was a bad thing. It's more of a fun challenge to have. Many guys can shoot slower arrows consistently.
Only a few can do it with the faster arrows.  I guess it depends on how much you want to experiment.  You can also shoot heavier arrows to slow a 150 down to the sweet spot if you wish. If you get a 125/150 vent. I would like to hear your comparison between your two xbows.   I saw on another post you already have a rdt125.   What part of PA are you from?

Im in berwick. Its just that my 125 is so accurate, I dont want to lose that if I go to the 150. Im shooting 2 inch groups at 70 yards and thats as far as my scope allows. The RDT 125 was my first crossbow, just got it ,a new left over, last summer. I was never interested because I shot my dads horton a few times and could never shot a group. I could shot my compound so much better. But with the Scorpyd I hit every dot I aim at. If I was sure that I wasnt going to loss this, I would go with the 150.

I'm sure the 150 is probably just as accurate with the right arrows. But I understand your concern.

If you don't mind me asking why are you thinking about getting the Ventilator when you just got the RDT125?

Ahh I see. Well if this will be kinda a replacement bow, and you're happy with the speed you're getting out of the RDT125, then I think you should go with the Vent125.

Now you may be able to argue that the Vent150 will have a better resale value. Something else to think about (if that matters to you).
