Nope. It's an anti- vibration coating. The AVI coating also makes the limbs very quiet if brush rubs or hits against them.

Why settle for less.  Buy a Ten Point.  Excellent quality and there reputation seems to sleek for itself.  May not be the fastest on the market but the quality is a step above.  Also haven't seen near the posts about issues that some of the other manufactures are having.

Not to be disrespectful but the best crossbow made is the one's that don't come unglued when shot. This is a loaded question I mean you ask anyone on here and I would bet there bow is the best. Some will scream speed is the way to go. But truth is what about the bows from way back in the day when 220 fps was the speed bows of the time and those same bows that wasn't abused are to this day killing deer and other wild game. Accuracy is the number one requirement in my book. I'm not saying having a fast bow is bad but it's not a requirement. You can take any bow and shoulder it and if it don't fit you the it's not going to be enjoyable to shoot but if you shoulder it and your eye comes right up to the scope and the balance feels right then well you will want to shoot it more often. Something I almost forgot just because a bow cost you your next 4 pay checks doesn't make it the best for you either. Just my 2 cents

Parker buckbuster is a great bow, as long as you never use it.

I use mine and have only had one limb shatter thus far.  :startle: Less than a lot of guys shooting the Bowtech SZ380.    Actually it is a nice shooting crossbow and I have had no problems since Parker replaced the limbs.

NJ devil.--- My theory on a crossbow is that all of us will have our opinion -speed -style-accurracy-type of scope-weight etc.I just purchased a Z350 .I heard good and bad about the problems that bow-tech was having with limbs blowing up- splitting-stocks cracking, however I was up Gander Mtn and tested fired one--The bow was light to me,compact, quiet, and fit me quite well.It is a big improvement from my BARNETT QUAD 300--JMO.I have been using it since 2003.There will be a lot of variables involved in your decision--GOOD LUCK

GO TO TWO REAL PRO SHOPS {or More} and shoot a few. Reality is trying several and then narrowing you selection down by asking others here about longevity of the models you like.
