These are what i have on hand which would be your choice for deer and why, if all shot equal out of the bow? G5 tekan 100 grn , muzzy 3 blade 100 grn, or rage cross bow 100 grn.

To offer a safe answer, shoot the Muzzy. No chance of any malfunction. I couldn't get mine to fly though.

I've used Muzzys and Rage The Rage left a much better blood trail. But I think the Muzzys will penetrate bone better.I am sticking with the Rage because they are more accurate for my set up.They fly just like my field points. Good luck

Well my reply is posted somewhere else here when I saw this question the last time. Get you some G5 Montec and do not look back. I have hunted for many, many years and spent a lot of money trying to find the one fixed blade that shot perfect with everything I own. I shoot the G5 Montec and will never buy anything else again. Totally amazed of these broadheads.

They are spin tested and fly very true. I was spin testing some arrows yesterday and thought that I had found a bad Montec. After switching to another arrow I found the problem was the arrow. You can order a 2"x6" fine diamond stone on the bay for 10 bucks and  resharpen them over and over and over. This is my thoughts on this.

I own two Mathews MQ 1s vert bows and a Parker Cyclone crossbow. The Montec broadheads shoot perfect out of all. I had a Horton Summit before the Cyclone and the Montecs shot perfect out of it to. My friends in Ohio all use them and the same results for them also. I am totally sold on the Montecs.

For years I heard people talk the stuff about tuning and the fix blade broadheads and they will work. I say bull to that. I paper tuned and tried everything with the so called field point accuracy fixed blade broadheads, and they did not shoot with the field points. You always would have to move your pins to the broadheads.

Not with the Montecs. If you are having a problem with them, then you have a tuning problem with your bow. Do not get me wrong, I like the mechanical broadheads and shot them for years. But always wanted a fixed blade that I could count on shooting straight.

I should add it really don't matter to me if the point of impact is not the same as field points, on my vertical bows i had target sights and the when hunting season came around they came off and i used a one or two pin set up depending on the bow and where i was hunting so if i have to make adjustments for the scope in this case it wouldn't be a problem to me.

From your system First Rage then Muzzy after than G5. Rage will most likely produce a bit larger wound channels on most shots. The Muzzy will be nice on heaver bone shots{should stay away from anyways} Honestly the G5 is lacking sharpness that I like to see.

i have used rage for a couple of years now and all i use in compound bow and x-bow for deer (sometimes spitfires),,, wont use a fixed blade beyond 30yds too much plaining,, not accurate for long range,, for hog hunting i will use a fixed blade but prefer 1.25 or larger cut on contact for the tough hide on pigs,,, i have bought/tried 90% of broad heads on the market and for mecanical rage first and spitfire 2nd,,, fixed blade 30yds or less NAP hell raiser for 30+ yds tru-fire T1 but only 1-1/16 cut but fly great,,, all this is JUST my opinion with the research and equipment i have been shooting with and not a pissing match or debate,,, happy hunting with what works best for you !!!

I would add with broadheads, you got to make sure your bolt, fletchings & blades are properly tuned & aligned for each broadhead with bolt. Sometimes you need to use a different fletching down to get best accuracy or perhaps another fletching down and mark them. In some cases the nock is not aligned properly or the blades don't line up properly with the fletching. If you don't do this, even the best broadhead will not fly right.Wobble for some shafts may be really bad in some cases. For 3 & 4 fixed blades this is a problem from my experience. I have not tried 2 blades, perhaps it is not as much a problem or perhaps it is for them. I have not tried the mechanicals I have bought yet & perhaps there is a problem with them as well or not as much.Proper tuning will tighten your groups with all the fixed blades I have tried.
