I am now an old fart of 70! I made my first bow at 12 0r 13 with help from a retired bow builder ,Then my interests drifted to firearms, bought a few, now retied, still have ich for archery ! had no money or tools when young, now different, have tools and desire to both make and uses bows, in particular crossbows
ON internet , have read about 'archer's paradox, am guy with an answer, even if wrong, but have an answer anyway .
Has anyone ever tried to either correct or eliminate it? and if so, what new problems were created? I want to experiment with all three (3) of my possible solutions, unless others have some advise regarding it!
no.1,  methed is gluing the staves if so made with an angle at joint to favor the left side, so when strung, the plane of the string is off-set to the left mising the center of the rise block, if bonding layers of wood and cut with bandsaw, then favor the limbs to the left ,..again to miss the center riser block when strung! Yes, an awear of tebdency to twist when at full draw, but a n offset handle can correct it! Yes! am awear that when releasd, string will eat   the inside of your arm, if unprotected! which bring me to my other method of solution..hint! OOOOOOO's and more ooooo's..............??? please let me know of my ignoranc  :beerhat: ! would 'love' to hear/read all comments
