Well, I got my first Excalibur, so that means I probably am ruined for life.  :thumbsu:  Picked the Vortex up last night and shot it a little tonight and am really happy with it.

That's the model I'm looking at. shoot me a pm and let me know how much and where you got it.

What scope is on it and did the sting suppressors come with it? From what I can find, the sting suppressors are not stock on that bow. The only other model I might consider from Excalibur is the Eclipse which is new this year. Same as the Vortex, just all black. The Eclipse comes with the Shadowzone scope and the string suppressors. It will really come down to cost however. I have found the Vortex online for just over 700 but the S5's are an additional 32.00.

I took three deer with mine this past season...perfect blend of power & speed in my opinion. If your thinking of buying one pull the trigger, you won't regret it!!

Does the top mount quiver get in the way of cocking with the rope cocker? Sure looks like it would.

I purchased it from Arrowhead Outdoors in Springs PA.  You can google his website.  As far as price I am not sure because I got some other things with it as well (arrows, stringing aid, extra string, etc).  The best would be to call Mike and tell him what you are looking for and with what accessories.  The scope that is on it now is just a temporary scope.  I am getting the new Hawke variable power illuminated scope when they are available in March.  So far I like the Top Mount Quiver.  I actually like it better than I thought I would.  It is not in your way at all when you cock it with the rope cocker.  The true test of it though will be in hunting conditions.  I will probably still remove the quiver once I get to the blind or stand though since it would be one less thing to catch on a limb or on the blind.  I don't believe the S5 Suppressors are stock on the Vortex, but from what everyone says they are well worth the money.  One nice thing when you buy from Mike is you don't have to purchase and entire accessory kit.  You can pick and choose what accessories you want to customize it.  Since I picked it up directly from him, he also had the bow assembled and sighted in for me which is pretty nice.
