I am new to the xbow.I bought a tenpoint titan hlx this year had some luck with it and like it alot.But is like carring around a chunk of lead.What it a good bow that is lighter? Does not matter recurve are compound.

Excal's run under 6 pounds....It is a recurve and a great bow! I believe Horton make an Ultra light also that is a compound. Enjoy your search & shoot everything you can get your hands on!!

The Middleton DTM375 is 6lbs. without any accessories. A simple recurve that shoots 375fps.+

SZ350 is decent weight compound style & has good speed Excals run 5.9 to 6.4 bare, solid & dependable. I have been shooting them (Excals) fer 14 yrs. I have never lost a days hunting time in all that time. I don't see another Recurve made with that tract record!  :thumbsu:

Hickory Creek make a vertical crossbow that is 5 lbs 6 oz. and is 18 1/2 inches a-aF it all comes a part and fits in a little case. It Feels like shooting a compound bow. it is a bow that you draw with your foot. It is the most accurate off hand style of shooting crossbow on the market.

right now I am thinking of a excal. exomax some good pricing on them now.Big questions is to wait to before hunting season and see what goes on sale..
