Hello. I have been hunting for 40 years with firearms and just recently wanted to try archery. I have lost my kidneys due to diabetes and cannot shoot a regular bow for fear of messing my fistula for dialysis. I believe a cross bow will be just what I need to get into archery. I hope to get some valuable input from this site to enable me to harvest the game correctly and quickly.

Hi, welcome to crossbow nation.  Like all weapons crossbows can be dangerous, especially if directions are not followed or the user is careless. If you have questions, ask away.

Welcome to the Nation!! I too live in Maine. I think your condition will certainly qualify you to be able to hunt during regular archery season. Take the lemons and make lemonade my friend!!! Again, welcome.
