Hi All
I am thinking of trying out the new Nikon Bolt XR scope on my Ibex. Reviews look good & it's made for the x-bow @ 305fps that my Ibex shoots. If any one has one of these scopes let me know the good & bad that you have found. My second choice is the Twilight DLX however the speed ring starts @ 300fps & goes to 400fps & it alot heavier than the Nikon.

I went ahead & bought one of the new Nikon X-bolt scopes.
At first I thought the tube length would be too small for my Ibex. After mounting it & looking through the scope I was pleased that for me it's just about perfect for my eye relief. With the design of the excal mount the shorter scope's will not slide in & out very far to adjust to your eye. Scope seems lighter than my old Varizone & much lighter than the Twilight DLX & $100.00 cheaper to boot.
Will be sighting in my bow soon & will post my results.

Scope is excellent. I did have to buy some Leupold Med rings & moved the scope back closer to my eye. With the low excal ringrs the front of the scope touches the excal base. Other than that the optics are chrystal clear.
My bow shoots the 305fps recomended for this scope.
I found that it shoots.
Main cross hair 20yards
Second circle 30 yards
Third circle hit's low @ 40 or right on @ 38 yards.
This works for me b/c 30 yards is my max self imposed bow range for now...

There is a design glitch in the circle spacing. Look at them and tell me what you see:-) The optics are very good and rival the Hawke XB30's and it is perfectly sized for crossbow use.

Circle spacing looks OK to me. I thought I would not really like it but changed my tune flinging arrows with them this past weekend. Besides I have never needed to shoot past 20 yards so I could care less what the lower aiming ponts look like...

So a single crosshair would work for you:-)

Yep, and sight that rascal in for 25 or 30 yards. I alway used 30 yards. I knew where to hold for 15, 20, 25, 35 and 40 yards. It works great as most folks that use that system will tell you:-) My only problem is that I shoot a lot and I like playing around shooting out to 80 yards just for fun. Can't do that with a single aiming point.

Moon,
Which rifle scope do you use? Thinking about a variable down the road to use with the HHA speed dial.

Vortex Nation: Just curious, what string are you using on your Ibex? Factory or Flemish?
