i got my trt last summer when i first shot it it made a loud twang sound. It didnt take me long to narrow down the cause,it was the arrow holder.I used a rubber washer cut in half, like a half circle. Then cut a slit in the center and slid it on the arrow holder all the way to the scope rail.It made a very noticeable differance, now with splitlimp savers its as quiet as any other crossbow i've ever shot. You can also buy a kit with a piece simalar included,i think its made by bowjax.

Here's the Bowjax retainer spring unit I used on the Ultra Lite and V 175. Much of the Ultra Lite's noise comes from its hollow stock. I filled the voids with open cell foam.

After reading your post I went to the garage looking for a rubber washer to give it a try.As I was looking I saw a piece or windshield wiper blade and thought I would give it a try.First I cut a piece about 1 1/2 inches long and put some double sided tape on the back side.I put it length wise on top of the spring.I simulated a shot by flicking the spring and the sound was the same.I then cut the piece down to 3/4 of an inch and put it across the spring about 1 inch from the top and bingo no more twang.I knew that piece of blade would come in handy for something!!

i use shrink tubing on my vision works great with noticable sound difference, just be careful when u heat it on the xb,otherwise just remove the tensioner and insall it...the large shrink tubing also works great on the foot stirrup..just melt the start end to hold it in place and start wrapping it around the stirrup like tape melt the finished end to hold...then simply heat to shrink tight...
