I've noticed since the first time I tried to cock this Wildcat C5 (just got it last week) that I would have a hard time getting the string to cock the trigger. What I've finally had to end up doing is manually pulling the trigger back forward in order to get it to cock and hold...is this typical or is there something not working right???
Trigger not resetting?

What position is the safety, while cocking the bow?

The safety is still in the firing position. It gets kind of disconcerting to keep pulling the string back and just have it go back forward...

Normally this happens if one tries to cock the bow while the safety is in the on position or one tries to fire the bow with the bow in the safety on position. I have the same bow and have had no problems as long as the bow is in the safety off position when cocking and I do not attempt to fire with the safety in the on position.

The only thing I have done is rather than firing a bolt to unload I have been using the rope cocking device to unload. Have found out that it will not "unload" unless the safety is off-which makes sense or you would not be able to pull the trigger to let the string out. I have never reset the safety after "unloading" so that isn't/can't be the issue.
