I have a quad 400 .went out when I first got it sighted it in a 20yrds on the top line ..worked perfect ..went back to 30 yrds .second line dead on..step back to 40 yrds..3rd line down dead on ...I was happy to see how good it was....BUT! I picked it up today and at 20 yrds it was shooting low like 8 inches low,,shot about 9 shots same thing ..I figure maybe string as stretched a little so I started adjusting the scope up..I have adjusted the scope as far as it will go after about 20 frustrating shots and I am still about 2 inches low of my aiming point ...I don't understand cause it was dead on the other day ..I will say this I did remove the scope to replace the arrow retention spring ..but I placed it back in the same grooves so I figured I would have to rezero a little ..but it shouldn't be topping out and not getting on the mark

Hi,
I have a similar issue. I have a new Quad 400 that I have been trying to sight in with no results. The shot is always low and left of the aim point (significantly). I"m shooting about 8-10 inches low and about 6 inches left. All my shots are taken from bench rest with the same sight picture. I had on session where I took three shots, adjusted for both windage and elevation between each shot, and the group was so tight that couldn't pull the bolt out one at a time. I had to pull two out together. The adjustment knobs on the scope just don't seem to be working. I'm stumped. I've just ordered a red dot scope to see if it's the scope or the bow.

This is what I ended up having to do ....I went and bought new scope rings just cause the others barnett sent never seated right .no matter how tight I tightened them ..the new ones work very well ..$10 extra high frame weaver brand at walmart ...but what was making my scope top out was the scope rail ..it is angled upwards at the front end from which was making my scope aim high ..I took an adjustable wrench slid on the end of the rail and slightly bent it back down ..now I have all kinds of up adjustment since my scope is on a more even plane..not saying this is your prob .but look down your scope rail and make sure its not bent like mine was

If you need adjustment you can put some packing into a scope ring.Front or back whatever is needed .The sudden change could be something lose .MY quad 400 s action did move a bit I think .Giving random shooting .
