Does anyone know the string serving size on the 2011 Parker Cyclone Express ? I looked on Parker's web page in the manuals and bow data section and no such information there. I would appreciate your help, and if you find a page with this information, please share it. I am ordering nocks and need this information please. Also I just want to know the size of the serving. Is there a typical string serving size on all crossbows, or are they all a different size according to the brand ? Thanks again.

I used halo 014 for loop, BCY 3D for end serving and halo 024 for center serving.

If you need this to order nocks then I imagine you want to know the total diameter of the center serving section, not the string that the serving is made of.  Am I correct?  I am not certain but if you look on firenocks website, at the Q nocks (if memory serves me correctly) it says to order the ones for .145 serving size to be used on Parker bows.  So if firenock is correct, and I have no reason to think not, then all Parkers use .0145.  I am sure some other more knowledgable people will step up and answer you.

Yes, I am talking about the center serving, thank you. I did see that on the Firenock website. But I also would think that there would be some information about the center serving size on most crossbow manufacture sites. I did search Parker, but not any of the manufactures that I have searched gave a center serving size. I guess that is not a common measurement needed anyway.

Thank you Pock. You are correct on the serving size. For I just got off the phone with Jim at Parker Bows and he is a great help. The center serving they use is .024 BCY for crossbow Halo Center Serving. He gave me some information pertaining to the center serving and the twist in the strings and cables. If anyone does this;

#1. Count the twist in the string as you take it off.

#2. Serve the string without the twist.

#3. Serve the string in one direction and put the counted twist back into the string in the same direction.

#4. Make sure your cams are in time afterward, if not, adjust this with the cables. Putting in more or less twist to get the timing back in sync with the left/right cams.

I am new at this procedure Pock and I am sharing what was explained to me. I think I have it right, if not please correct me before I go any further. Any help information will be appreciated. I also do not know where to purchase what I need and what serving tool would be good enough for this ?

For serving tool I used Beiter for loop and end serving and Spigarelli for center serving.
And I used this scale for set tension of serving tool.
For center serving size I used 022 for SZ, 024 for Parker and Excal, 030 and 036 for Tenpoint

How much tension for center serving using the .024 Halo Pock ? How much tension for the loop and end serving Pock ? I will be building myself a string jig soon. I think I will order the After Market Modified BCY Model 26 Bowstring Serving tool. According to the site information it has been strengthened/modified to handle more pressure.

Hi Fuzzy

For loop I set tension around 6 lbs.

And end serving I set tension around 4.5 lbs

And center serving I set tension around 13-17 lbs , I not sure end up of tension, I start at 13 lbs and I increase tension after winding around 0.5 inch because it difficult to start at high tension. (I think end up this tension is around 16-18 lbs)

After finish I used Darton speed wax around center serving.

Before serving (end serving and center serving) I set tension of string around 300-350 lbs. (picture below : my tension jig)
