And I found a simple modification to weight my non tracer arrows nocks. A #10-24 x 1/2" setscrew w/ just a 1/10 of a gram ground off can be threaded tight into the nocks to match the 26 grains the tracer weighs. The point/insert/extra wt is my creation also netting me a 260 grain tip for 545 total wt with 17.5% FOC. And they fit snuggly down the ID of my Easton Powerbolt carbon shafts. I had to dip them in boiling water to shove them in all the way with hot glue to anchor them. Those are #8 lock washers on an 8-32 x 1" SHCS.

Should last a while with 90 hrs on time. Their really cool. For $10, they have a microprocessor built in with an activate/ inactivate capability. I like them better than any of their competition.

They look great Kutter. Thanks for sharing. I glue in a copper wire into the back of the nock and then cut it down to match the weight of the lighted nock. I think I like your idea better.

Got my tracer nocks today . Too cool ! I think I'll hot glue the magnet instead of the velcor tabs.
Lot's of rain here in central Tejas . I've got to get out to the blind soon or I'll go postal

Now you went and done it, UL.
Installed some Firenocks and some Luminocks on some of my GT's past couple of day. Now it seems I'll have to try the Tracers too! Wow. These thing are great. I've been cresting my arrows with lacquer for increased viability. THIS, is INCREASED VISIBILITY! Accuracy testing will have to wait for when the snow clears but I am impressed so far.
BTW, Firenocks are spendy but relatively easy to install. The Lumis don't fit the shaft without alteration. One has to use the 2219 version and trim the collar to fit GTs. Have to be relatively precise, and patient, removing a bit at a time with a hobby file, preferably one that has one dead edge (no cuts) to avoid messing up stop.

Easton Tracer Nocks. I have gone to the crossbow because I had to have my left wrist fused last December, and can no longer shoot a regular bow. Enough said about that.
I saw the lighted nocks at my archery store and I liked what I saw. I first tried the Lumanocks, but found out that because of left wrist I couldn't pull it hard enough to shut it off. I went back to the store and told them what happened, they said "not a problem" so they set me up with Tracer Nocks, because they turn on or off magnetically and after there in the target for 30 seconds they flash on and off, which I think is real neat.
Now my problem, after shooting the 3 that I have about 8 or 9 times, something odd happened, two of the three didn't light at all. After I pulled them out of the target, I noticed that there was something rattling inside the shaft. I proceeded to pull the nocks out, and too my amazement the battery was gone, I tipped the arrow up and the battery fell out. Two of the three did the same thing, so tomorrow I'm taking them back to the archery shop.
I shoot a Ten Point Pro-Slider CB Its not a speed demon so I just don't understand why this should happen.

I just bought some for my parker hunter carbon arrows. They did not fit even though the box said they were for carbon express and parker arrows. So since I wasn't going to drive 1:30 hours to return them I shaved the ribs off the nock with a knife and they fit better. Still not completely happy but I do like the magnet function.

The Tracer also turns on whenever you pass anything magnatised, so they aren't fool proof. We tried them all, Lumenocks, Tracers. Firenocks, Carbon Express etc. the one that really works well is the Nockturnal from Double Take Archery. The Nockturnal is switched on when the string is released (shot) and stays on until you switch it off with a pin or paper clip. They're lighter in weight than the others but work every time as long as the battery is good (20 Hours) not as long as some others but work with every shot. Unfortunately they are not yet available for Cross Bows but I believe they will be shortly. I shoot an Inline from Jerry at Hickory Creek with a Martin Silencer, if you still like the evrtical Bow and can support the weight but can't do the heavy draw, this inline is the answer a great piece of kit, I refer to mine as a vertical crossbow, ask Moon he's been shooting one for awhile. Don't get me wrong I'm not advoocating anything negative about cross bows in fact I think the Kodabow is kind of neat and might just need one to back up my inline. Cactus
