Hey guys I have a question about the RAGE series broadheads...are they worth the money? How durable are they? Anyone have any malfuntions with them? ..I'm just wondering that is the only 125 grain broadheads my local bow shop has ,and they look good plus cheaper there than anywhere I've found online ..

I personally shoot spitfires, but i know a lot of guys that shoot rage and there good heads. The only problem if heard of is early deployment of blades in crossbows over 300 fps they fixed it by double banding the blades.I haven't heard anything about the new (crossbow models)

I have been looking at stryker, rage, grim reaper, and quite a few more....I'm thinking the grim reaper and this is why .. the design is a lot like spitfires which has been around for years and both have a lot of great reveiws ..main reason though grim reapers come with a practice tip like rage does for the same price as the spitfires, I wonder why spitfire makes you pay $12 more for a practice tip ..haha..but anyways guys thanks for the imput ill let you know how they shoot when I get them

I've just tried the new Rage for crossbows and they've worked great so far. I'm using a piece of paper set up a foot in front of my target and they are staying closed till the target. Just thought i'd let you know.. But those other heads you were talking about are also good heads...They all make alot of blood !!!!

Fixed blade G5 Montecs are all I will ever use again. Myself and a buddy in Mansfield,Ohio spent a lot of money and time figuring this one out. They work for all my bow shooting, in my vert bows and my crossbow. The same results. Sharpen and reuse them over and over to. Shoot same as field points no matter how they are turned on the shaft. I still like to turn them in align with the vanes if possible. But really makes no difference that I can tell, just old fashioned I guess. But this is not always possible with the carbon clued in permanent inserts. The G5 is always a winner for me. I have used the Spitfires with great success over the years. But finally found a fixed blade that does it all, G5 Montec, get you some and try them sometime.

Which broadhead is like the question which bullet. Find the one you like best that flies good in your setup and go kill some game. I found several fixed heads that worked good in my Jackal, Muzzys, Montec and Hell Razors. Any of those three flew just like my field points. Mike
