I ordered my Kodabow after spending a good amount of time talking with Chuck about my requirements. He has the patience of a Saint. I guess I'm not your everyday customer. Based in the UK I require my bow for 3D competition. The rules state that the bow has to be cocked by hand with a maximum 300fps. As you will know in competition I'll be shooting maybe 40 shots, each as accurately as the last, rather than back away, Chuck got stuck into this challenge and came up with a number of options. Eventually I handed over the cash and the bow was built to my requirements.
It was amazing watching my bow traverse the Atlantic on FEDEX tracking and when it finally arrived a whole 4 days later I was immediately impressed with the quality and attention to detail.
I have now spent 4 days shooting the bow. I have tried maybe 6 different arrow setups and different specs on the limbs and can hit 3 to 4" groups at 60 yards, hand cocked and stood up which impresses me greatly. I am shooting single spots at 30 yards because of knocking the backs out of the arrows.
The Hawke scope which came with the bow is set on the zero mark. I have not had to alter the windage at all. The trigger is so positive and the balance is totally neutral. After taking the shot The scope is still focussed on the target. I was using big amounts of stabilisation to achieve that on my previous bow.
I am totally looking forward to shooting Kodabow for the next season. In fact I have even started my season early because I am so excited at the prospect.

Thanks a million guys

Another happy customer, i cant wait im about two days away from pulling the trigger on one just waiting on a check to clear in my account. Im going with the big rhino for hunting with heavy arrows and in the future im going to pick up either the 125# or 155# limbs for playing around and small game hunting ill probably go wit the 155's.Which model did you end up with, the Alpha Strike? how many pound limbs? And lastly post some pics we all like to see them.

I am considering the Rhino for Hunting & 3D.

I had the choice between the 125 and the 185 limbs although I will also give the 155's a go. I settled on the 125s as I couldn't pull the big ones back without the rope cocking aid, which isn't allowed undeer competition rules.
I shot the bow for the first time in competition and whilst the weather 4" of snow overnight and -5degC temps depleted the competition I was a large margin in front of the rest and would have got a placing in the compound unlimited category. This with a 50 point second half gain over the first whilst sorting sight marks and familiarising myself with the bow and conditions. 12 spots out of 20 in the second half. I am really impressed with the performance of the bow. Pictures will follow when the pants weather lifts

If one is on the crossbow manufacturing end, this is a nice thread to read. The results are not surprising to us at Kodabow and much of the attractiveness with our crossbow is the way the whole bow works together ...balance, trigger, repeatability. We call it the Kodabow Experience here at company. We just finished a 9 day trade show - Eastern Outdoor Sports Show -- we shot a single Koda-Express 185 straight for 9 days with over 150 people a day .... about 2,000 arrows downrange. No issues. That is with consumers. Many are young shooters.  Our philosophy is that we would not let your children shoot our crossbow if we wouldn't permit our kids to shoot and hunt with our product. Like we said -- 2,000 arrows in public. No issues. We are just going to keep making crossbows the way we are doing it and focus on quality and reliability. While AideyMUK asked a lot of questions before making the Kodabow leap, we really look to treat everyone with that level of attention who contacts us and we think over time, more and more folks will notice what we have going on here at Kodabow.  Thanks for the kind words AideyMUK -- we hope you have huge success with your crossbow. Here is a link that refers to the trade show and please look closely at the picture. This is how our company spent the last 9 days and we had a great time talking Kodabow with a lot of shooters.

I always enjoy coming here and reading the comments from the new owners! Haven't been online as much as I'd like to lately - had neck surgery and the projected recovery period is 10-12 weeks.  Hope its sooner. Have a 5 lb weight restriction now - ithink my Big Rhino is just over that !! Can't wait to shoot it again.Gonna have to get in touch with Chuck about ordering one of the auto loading cranks. Congrats to all above that made the Kodabow choice. Wouldn't trade mine for anything else out there. As you shoot yours, you'll develop the same feelings I'm sure.

ok so how do I upload photos when my work computer won't let me put them on Flickr etc?

I took some pictures of a palm swell I made for the Kodabow and a cheek piece to raise myself up.
I am going to remodel the cheek piece some more when I get my workshop built.
The next part is to make a modifed palm rest to suit the competition needs.
All the alterations I totally reversible and velco fastened, kind of in keeping with the tactical look
