I have heard they are hard on strings. I did shoot my friends...shot well (what would you expect from an Excal!!) BUT it was a hand full for me to cock after 8-10 shots....Do your best to shoot one prior to plunking down your cash! I say that with ANY bow.....shoot as many as you can get your hands on and the bow with tell you which one to buy! Enjoy the journey & let us know what you decide!
