A friend just bought a Horton Vision with their scope with the lighted retical! He is having problems getting the proper eye relief. He is telling me he has to get right up almost on the scope....This is not his first bow and he is familiar with mounting scopes. Any suggestions?

Yea but they are one of the best scopes that come in a packaged/bow for the money IMO,and illuminated!!!!Though I only had to compare it to the Strykezone packaged scope I tried, which was pure junk/trash/worthless and not worthy of even putting on a $2 rummage sale bb-gun compared to the Vision scope......

That is why I really do not like company's that force you to buy the package when you buy there bows, its like extortion........And really only beginner cross-bow buyers actually need/could use the package products anyway!!!!!Before there wasnt really a market for them like there is now, with customers upgrading more and more than ever before.......So no need for it anymore at all,and if people want bare bows they should be able to buy them that way!!!!! I was reading the new Fury add at Horton and am taking it they are going to package only from the way I took it it,its not fair!!!!!!! :thumbsd:

WAY too much going on in that scope for me! I'm hearing it may be a while before we see the Havoc & Fury in the stores.....

Horton has THE BEST Customer Service folks I have EVER had the pleasure to know. And I have been dealing with several other outdoor gear manufacturers for almost 4 decades now. Horton is, hands down, THE BEST. Period.

Had an issue with a TRT UL I had, Horton replaced the whole thing.  You won't be able to stay mad at Horton for long if you have a problem IMO

Thanks for all the help guys. Hortons Customer service is amazing. The scope that Horton sent me is a rock solid fix. larger eye piece and better reticle. the eye relief issue was solved. although I ran into another concern when mounting the scope. I noticed a clunk clunk noise when I rocked the crossbow back and forth. Took me awhile to figure it out. It was the fire/safe . The whole switch was extremely loose and wobbled back and forth. I called Horton right away and they requested that I immediately put it back in its box, gave me an RA number and they had UPS here the next day (yesterday) to pick it up. I am wondering what could be wrong with it?? Anyways, I know they will get it taken care of.

My safety on my TRT ultra lite does the same thing. I noticed that it only does that when it is on SAFE. If you switch to FIRE it stops

Mine did it in both fire and safe mode. Very noticeable and loud.

I bought a new Vision late last summer, right out of the box I noticed it had a couple dings on one of the cams, not normally a huge deal but one ding looked like it could maybe cut the outside edge of the string. Horton picked it up at no charge and sent me a brand new one cuzz their stock of replacement cams was on a two week back order... most other companies would have just made me wait the extra two weeks. Heck, I waited NINE WEEKS one time for a Barnett warranty repair... I also sent in a Legacy 225 a few years ago for some minor repairs and when they returned it they had tossed in a nice Horton hat, a set of Limb Tunerz and a tube of rail lube... years ago before that I had a Max Impact... one of the limbs started peeling off a splinter, Horton next-dayed me a whole new front end AND I had asked them how much it would cost to upgrade it to the 200 lb. limbs... they upgraded my 150s to the 200 lb. limbs and front end at no charge. So yeah, I'm kinda partial to my Horton bows and Horton the company. They have some awesome people there.
