Can anyone tell me if the Excal Soft Side Case (Least Expensive Model) will fit my Phoenix once the bow string is cocked?
I'd greatly appreciate an answer from someone that knows for sure it will....or will not. Thanks.

The soft side case?
If you mean the cloth one ...it looks like it might work.
Ken.

Thanks for the reply "UNCLEFESTER". Appreciate that, but I need to know for sure. I have to be very sure because I don't want a ticket from the DNR for illegally transporting my crossbow (while cocked). When I go hunting, we stop at a remote location that just happens to have a large street light in the parking lot, which is about 5 miles from where I actually hunt. Problem is when we get to our hunting spot, its dark as dark can get, and cocking my bow with just a flash light is difficult and actually asking for trouble when doing so. My thought is to cock it at the street light where its much safer; and then to just slip it into the (inexpensive) soft side case. I should mention that my crossbow is transported from home to the street light location while in a double gun case, which really works well for packing it into my car with my stuff and all my buddys stuff. But again, I have to put my bow together and I really need some good light.....thus, my question still lingers: Will the excal. soft side bow case (the cheapest one) allow me to put it in there, already cocked, to transport it those few miles in a perfectly legal fashion. I DON'T need an expensive ticket $$$$$$.

Transporting a cocked crossbow does not sound safe at all to me. Why can't you assemble the bow and cock it using the vehicles headlights instead of a flashlight? Maybe get a small battery powered lantern from Walmart or somewhere to use.

Peculiar problem you have...my advice is to go to the excal forum & ask or go straight to the top & e-mail excalibur with your question...i've alway's got a response from them with my question's.

Yes it will
That would make me nervous putting it in that case cocked
I would put elastic bands over the safety to make sure it can't
release.
