Was surfing through the various threads and noticed something that bears mentioning. We have a REAL celebrity in our mist. I speak of course of Specialized (our own SUPER Moderator)

If you look closely at his signature under his posts you, too, will see why.........

Texas Crossbow hunters - Hunter of the year 2010- 2011
.
Texas crossbow hunters - White tail hunter of the year 2010-2011.

Texas crossbow hunters - Varmint hunter of the year 2010-2011.

For an individual to achieve ONE of these awards is something, Two is OUTSTANDING, BUT, THREE is absolutely FANTASTIC!!!

Congratulations, bud, on one hell (can I say that?) of a year and accomplishment. I'm proud to call you my friend. They couldn't have picked a better representative of the state.

I bet Texas doesn't invite him to renew his membership.  I think that is the second year in a row that he has taken some  of these honors.  Congratulations Special.  That is really an accomplishment.

Thanks to all for your nice comments, I have also hunted hard this 2011-2012 season and thankfully had much success, very blessed to have a great hunting area all to my self.
