I have the G5 Montecs and love this broad-head as so many probably already know. So how does everyone make up the size difference in the larger carbon and even the Easton 2219 aluminum shafts and the smaller shank on the broad-heads ? Have not looked it up yet, just being lazy and asking you all first. I have gotten myself in trouble by just going out on a limb a few times. I respect what you all say is best. Thanks in advance.

The arrow being slightly bigger than the broad head shank wont effect arrow flight. But there is Easton Broadhead Adapter Rings NAP makes a Uni Broadhead Adapter Ring.

I used them fer couple of yrs, great BH's. You don't need anything as the 3 blades open a hole way bigger than the arrow shaft!

Well, I thought that the broad-heads not covering the end of the shaft as the field points do, would cause flight problems. I will try them sometime. I figure that at a longer distance it would make some kinda of a difference. Not that I am going to shoot at 60 yards, but just thinking about it all. Never had the problem with the vert bows and smaller diameter Carbon Express shafts. So this is why I have the new concern. The G5 Montecs fit the vertical bow Carbon Express 300 shafts and the Easton Epics real well, designed around them I guess.

I have been shooting Montecs for years. Never thought about using an adaptor and have never had any accuracy problems.

Called NAP (New Archery Products) and there adapter rings will not work either. I talked to Chris there and he was a great help to me. He explained some of the new hoopla about the FOC on the carbon arrows. The brass inserts and there usefulness to obtain really good arrow accuracy and better penetration. He is really helpful. He had done a test with carbon arrows and a Tenpoint Crossbow. He said it was amazing at the distances he was shooting and cutting vanes off other arrows. The distance was so amazing that it through me for a loop and I can not truthfully tell you what the distance was. But I think it was a little beyond 100 yards. He said he had attached a rifle scope on the crossbow for the arrow test.
**He also noted as some of you have said, that he was using a field point on these tested arrows that was smaller than the arrow shaft. He had no problems with accuracy.**
