<p><span style="color:#0000ff;">If wood and fiberglass engineers will not visit our site, her is question to all of experined builders;</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#0000ff;">1. to ofset the string on metal bows , I just welded an off the side bow tip for string, no problem there</span>!</p>
<p>. must add same tip to side of bow </p>
<p>2. however to do same on a laminated bow, I must add a piece to existing edge of said tip with fiberglss? how sturdy will it be, since it will experince 80 - 100 lb of torguc( where at be dat spelling gizmo), ever if I apple fiberglass on both front and back, will it be strong enough?</p>

Lrod, I havent been to your site but it sounds like a your building a vertical bow and asking crossbow owners for construction tips. There is another site dedicated to vertical archers called archerytalk but Im not allowed to provide link. They have a forum for people who like to tinker around with bows. Alternatively there is an international guild of bow and crossbow builders who all build their own bows. Here you will find fibreglass, wood and metal wizards. Its called the arbalist guild and you can google the address.
If you think about what you propose with a long limbed bow, you create torque in a few places. The offset string will want to twist the limb, and then another example would be torque at the handgrip and would want to rotate around in your hand. Upon release any twisting action would have to recover, meaning you have possibly introduced a left and right movement (side to side) where none existed before.
On the Scorpyd thread there is a Russian builder who does fantastic work with fibreglass, and shows a handbuilt twinbow beautifully made. Im pretty sure he could give you the fibreglass advice you are seeking.
Hope that helps point you in the right directions, good luck and keep at it

To all other builders, Please don't be mislead by 'lightfoot' complete misunderstanding of my request and intensionsI still need opinions regarding how to insure the added bow tips do not tear away from tips of original bow, since new tips will be fiberglassed side by side
Lightfoot, we don't speak same lingo, is why I took my name off your 'friend's list

NO thanks to any of you wood and fiberglass experts, I came up with the solution my question on how to insure the strenght of wooden bow tip when off-seting the string on s crossbow, was no problem when using s metal bow, just welded extra tip or maybe I should braze it!
Just as I came up with own idea how to eliminate 100% of"archer's paradox",
I have the ability to turn wood into metal , so It 'can' be brazed to the original wooden bow tip!
Funtunatly I have the capital to start production on my own but, may seek 'investors'
Fortunately or not, most of my frinds are pennyless, lived from check to check

FORGIVE ME , AM STILL HAVING MEMOERY PROBS SINCE STROke!I was advised to contact a 'mr George Stoneberg at another site at "texasboards", who 'may be' a fiberglass brain.
I found the site and tried to contact him via email , but only membersn may do that<when I tried to join in oder to contact, application was not accepted! There was no place for responding to question about hunters, was also advised that a improper word had ben used without my knowldege!
So I did a search fpr him and found him at business, but, again, no emaiil contact! So I must send an old fashioned snail mail
If person who advised me about MR Stoneberg reads this, please
Have him contact me, since snail mail is just that 'snail"

Sir, I do not understand your humiliation or aggravation against this group and especially Lightfoot. For I have to say that I read your first post and had the same conclusion that you where talking about a vertical re-curve or longbow.
And as Sherman7057 said, I can not understand your typing or form of English. This is a good place to get help, but you must be able to speak English and type somewhat eligible for anyone to understand.
Sorry you did not find the help you need. Perhaps you should hire a secretary with some of that capital you have to get you started in the right direction.
