Hay guys and gals I set my trail cams up trail last year before my muzzleloader (I'm buying a xbow this spring)  & I caught this guy plenty of times, is it just me or does he seem to have very large ears for a mule deer?  I've hunted Mule Deer my whole life so I know they have an ear span around 20-22 inches and, I didn't harvest him either so, I couldn't tell ya. I want to give him another year or two to let his horns grow and if I take hiim I'll let you guys know. I was just wondering, do his ears look big to you or, is just the way his horns go straight out?

Here he is, he also started out as 3x4 notice the chewed up ear on the left in both pics. I croped it so you could see.

That's a beauty buck for sure, nice to see someone else on here that chases mulies around instead of just the normal white tail non-stop stuff.

201 5/8 if my memory is correct, he is off at the taxidermists right now, there is a picture in my gallery of him just about done, I will score him officially when he is done and probably enter him into the SCI records for a non-typical crossbow mulie. Around here he is a good buck but not a giant. I passed on quite a few mulies this year looking for a shooter, I understand the mulie addiction, once you get it, it's hard to shake, kinda like sheep hunting.

You would have to invite me out for a closer look, then i could tell you if those ears are normal   JUST KIDDIN...Those are some nice pics, muleys are beautiful creatures. I plan on a hunt for one out west soon
Its not the kill, its the thrill of the chase
