cocking rope slipped out of my friends hand. broke the handles on the cocking rope and one of the bow limbs splintered ..  Really liked the bow for the first 5 shots..Bad part we did not know the limb splintered until we broke 3 arrows missing the target by about 2 feet..... then really felt of the limb..  .Excal really went above  and beyond &  replaced  the limbs I hope to have them back in a week are so...

.But that was a fun 1st few shots

So the cocking rope just slipped out of yer friends hands & the limb splintered ? I would send the whole crossbow back & tell them it ain't no 4x4 of crossbows! I own a very good model Excal & never let the cocking rope get away from me. I think you shouldn't let yer friend near yer crossbow the rest of yer life

If your friend has weak grip strength, a rope cocker with loops instead of handles might work better for him. Jus sayin.

You can easily tell if he's a good friend or not. If he's the one sitting next to you in a jail cell, then he is a "good" friend. If he's the one to come bail you out, then he shouldn't shoot the crossbow again lol. Just kidding lol.

Glad to hear Excal took care of business for you!
