I am thinking of adding a new quiver bracket ..I wanting the arrows parallel to the Xbow ...my question is what is your preference top over string or under and why ..I can go either way but torn between the two..

I use the Husky Pro by Carbon Express Eastman on all my CB's and its a under mount that goes on the Pic rail. Just love m

I make my own, and prefer top mount. That way, I can set my bow down with the quiver on it, w/o having to balance it on the stirrup. And I never have any issues carrying it slung.

I agree 100% with this post. I mounted mine underneath - discovered what he said - moved it to the top. I hunt wooden ground blinds and tree stands so above works for me in both cases + carrying. Good luck!

I'm a do it yourselfer too ..I hate to spend that kind of money on something I know I can ..duplicate or even make better ...top mount will take a little more thought since I only have one hole I can use and I don't want it loosing up and spinning

I just got the top mount quiver made by Bohning. It attaches to the scope rail. It puts the quiver in a nice place out of the way. I sometimes use a shooting stick, so I would prefer to have my on top, so it doesn't get in the way.

Not really sure I understand the Bohining mount. I dont want anything other than my optic attached to the dovetail. I assume if you had to shoot wrong handed that the arrows would be in the way?
Not a fan of any of the top mounted parallel systems because they usually get in the way of loading. I also hate addtional items that can block my field of view.
Just not a fan of things above the working area of the crossbow especially fingers!

I started installing parallel to barrel quivers 8 years ago using the Kwikee Kwiver Hi Riser II "L" bracket. I talked to David at Wyvern Creations and he started offering his version of the "L" bracket which is really nice. I started off installing them above the riser which meant that I had to drill and tap some risers to install the parallel system.
Later on I started mounting the parallel system below the risers using the factory quiver mounting holes which eliminated any drilling of risers and I found that the below riser mounting worked just as well for my hunting. The vanes don't touch the ground when laying the bow down with the below mount either. I carry my crossbows in bow-down position so the quiver and arrows are totally out of the way, either above or below the riser.
BTW, Ten Point will begin shipping their new parallel to barrel under the riser mount in a few weeks:-) I think it will retail for $15.00.
