Does anyone have any information or experience on the Darton Terminator? I haven't been able to find much about it online.

I would like to know about this bow to as I am now on more of a budget. I spoke with Wyvern about the bow he said its a good midrange bow, not as nice as the LTD's but not as much money either. He also said that he would recommend saving the money and buying the LTD II if I was just settling on the terminator due to cost.
I would however like to here from someone who has one or shot one before.

Boone, I hear you about the money issue:-) I'm in the same boat myself. I'm looking to get my first xbow at some point and I want to make sure that I get something good without having regrets about getting it later.

That is the name of the game, buying with out any remorse! Good luck and hopefully someone will post something about it.

The Terminator isn't a bad crossbow, but if you're going to get a Darton, you might as well get the Serpent LTD II. I love my LTD to death. It's a great bow, quiet, narrow, well-built, and fairly fast (355 fps).
The issue with the Darton brand is that their crossbows are often ignored because they fall behind in the "stats game". Take the Terminator and you'll find several other crossbows in the same price range that seem to be much "better" because they shoot faster or have more KE or stuff like that. Unfortunately, it's much harder to advertise the "hunt ability" (as an article I read put it) of a crossbow, and as far as "hunt ability" goes, Darton is top, top, top of the line with almost no equal. FPS? Yep, there's faster for the price. Power stroke? Yep, there's longer stroke for the price. For the $900 I spent on my LTD, I could have spent it on a much "better" crossbow in terms of stats. In terms of "stats", Darton doesn't look like the best of the bunch, but when you shoot one.... oooooh doggy!
Sorry, I sound like a salesperson.

What Mrm... says pretty much.
They are very fine bows. I've got three older models, that have never given me a single problem.
This seems to be a good thing as most all other bows have had some sort of semi-major to major problems that required returns.
While I may have missed one, Darton has not had any major problems that I'm awair of in the last few years.
One reason...they make "small" changes to their bows. Yes, this does make their bows somewhat out-dated in the "wow factor", but then again, they will pretty much hold their own against any bow out there.
As for accuracy...I ruined a hand full of arrows before I realized NOT to shoot at the same target dot with more than...."one" arrow.
And as has been stated by those in the know...a 150fps arrow speed is about all it takes to bring down most game.
For what it may be worth, I'd also do what Mrm suggests...get the Serpent LTD II.
