Hi Folks- Just joined and looking around. I am a semi-retired outdoor writer with over 7,000 articles in print. Still writing some but have slowed down. I am the past editor-at-large for a major nationel bowhunting magazine and a bowhunter of over 40-years and have contributed to most if not all the major bowhunting magazines. Like many of you, age and injuries forced me to use a crossbow to keep bow hunting and I have been instrumental in our state in getting the crossbow legalized for everyone.

I'm still hunting and enjoying the autumn mornings in the woods and lately have been managing to fish 4-6 days a week and writing only when I have to. I live in middle TN so the fishing opportunities are great.I have permission to hunt over 300-acres of farmland within walking distance of my house. Deer and turkeys are almost pests and now that I no longer care nothing about antler size, hunting is a blast. Looking forward to cruising the site and reading your posts and contributions.

LOL- I'm no expert, I just get to hunt and fish a lot. When you do it for a living for as long as I have, some days it is nice to just sit back and play with the grandkids. Now, I don't have to get wet or cold. If the weather isn't just the way I want it, I don't go. I can remember a morning in the mountains when my cameraman said, "It is raining and snowing and we are going to go call elk. Do you realize some people would actually think this is fun?" That is when I decided it was time to cut back and let someone else have all the fun.

Good to be here and I would be happy to answer any questions as long as you keep in mind, I don't know jack about a crossbow. I just ask the folks at TenPoint and they tell me.  :acute:
