crossbow silencers

Hello everyone,I am new to crossbow hunting and am considering buying a silencing kit,i am looking for advise on if they really work,or what others experiences have been,or what you recommend?Thanks

Hello and welcome to cn.

I'm in the same boat. i'm considering adding this to my crossbow as well (even tho my bow doesn't really need it).

I'm kinda narrowed down to bowjax xbow kit, or limb savers xbow kit (might be all thats out there).

I'm very torn but currently I'm leaning towards limb savers just because I've used them in the past on vertical bows and had good results.

As you can see the videos have very different results. Hopefully someone can chime in who has experience with both kinds.

ANYTHING, that is applied to the string or limbs will slow arrow speed, assuming the same weight of arrow is used. Similarly, most 'silencing' measures will do little to quiet a crossbow anywhere near that of a vertical bow. After trying virtually everything that exist to quiet mine, Ive given up in favor os shooting at reasonably close - relaxed - deer.
Phoenix, Vortex and Cyclone; single shot rifles and handguns.
