Barnett Introduces the All New Ghost 410

Posted Image

With a blistering speed of 410 fps, a nearly pound in weight reduction and a more compact, forgiving design, Barnett's Ghost 410 is breaking records in speed and innovation leaving the competition behind in the dust.

Weighing in at just 7.3 pounds and only 19" inches wide, this bow is no doubt a game changer. It may be lighter and faster than its predecessor, the Ghost 400, but the 410 has maintained some of its most impressive features. Like the 400, the 410 features Barnett's proprietary Carbonlite Riser Technology (CRT), which shifts the balance point away from the riser and back to the shoulder of the shooter. This allows for improved maneuverability and faster target acquisition. Barnett's unique patent-protected, ultra-light, super-strong Carbonlite riser boasts an incredible 5-to-1 safety factor and provides the perfect balance of weight and speed.

The aluminum flight track produces the smoothest shot in the industry without the added weight. The CROSSWIRE® string and cable system blends Barnett's fibers with the industry's toughest serving materials, ensuring the shooter has the most stable and reliable string in the industry. As a result, shooters experience a faster, quieter and more precise shot. In addition, the crossbow comes with an Anti Dry Fire Trigger Safety System, making it even more reliable in all conditions.

Three 22" arrows, Barnett's new Talon crossbow sling, a new Carbon Cross®three-arrow quiver, a rope-cocking device and premium paper-sighted illuminated scope all come standard in the Ghost 410 package.

Don't see too many differences in the picture from my current ghost 400. Doesn't mean I'm not interested... it means I can't wait to try one out. Although I won't be purchasing one till one of my three Barnett's breaks outside of warranty. I'm drooling over the info.

Interesting bow...but i'd like to see Barnett come up with a shorter axle to axle length...their bow's are getting clumbersome ..compared to some....I'd give up speed for shorter axle to axle...

Lol. Thanks Highlander. Perhaps I should of explained myself better. I know the difference in specs, what I was meaning by "hard to tell differences", was that they look very similar.
Thanks for answering to my comment though. I'm sure your info has given others a better spec side by side caparison. Don't have to search other sites to compare.
Thanks friend.

Love to Hunt,

Not a lot of difference that I can see, I agree. ;)

I don't see any change in the trigger housing that the scope rail is fastened to, which is my beef with my Ghost. Can't see what's going on under the trigger housing though. I hope they strengthened it up.

Agreed. Although my Ghost 400 is reliable, accurate, ect, there are some improvements I'd like to see. Not complaining about what I got, otherwise I wouldn't still own it. Love my Ghost 400. But as with any product, there can always be improvements.

Hard to tell from the pic, but looks like another Barnett bow lacking a cable slide, with a lot of upward pressure from the cables onto and under the stock  . Happy to be corrected on this!

Also, hope the arrow retainer is more durable than current designs.

Otherwise an interesting unit. Look forward to reading/seeing some real world tests and reviews.

I reckon the retainer issue must be related to temperature and humidity.

I live in the tropics, with very high humidity all year round. My G400 is a couple of days away from making its 400th shot (on its second serving, and its looking a bit sad though).

A delrin retainer would undoubtedly solve the problem if temp/moisture was the problem.

Said in arrow trade magazine ad 410+fps, more than likely the most powerful crossbow on the market! I can't wait for the ata show starts 1/7/13!
