Is Tenpoint planning to get into the lighted nock business and if so when?? Would like to know their plans plus what is their actual recommendation to remove existing flat nocks and install Omni's without  damaging the arrows and then re-seating the Omni's to accurately align with the existing vanes? Would like to shoot Omni's (preferably lighted) out of my XLT as well as the new Vapor.

ND,
TenPoint is not planning on getting into the lighted nock business, but we are working with several companies that are. I suspect there will be an option or two before the fall hunting season.

Hi NDPronghorn,

I recently replaced the flat nocks with Omni nocks. I removed the flat nocks out of a dozen Pro Elites.
I only installed 6 arrows with the Omni nocks and I'm saving the other T.P. Pro Elites for the lighted version when they come up for sale. It was a little hard removing the flat nocks, even after placing them under hot water. Some came out fairly easy, but a few were really glued in good. I drilled a small hole in the end of the nock and installed a screw in the hole. Reheated it up under hot water and pulled like heck on the screw. Wha-lah, done! When you purchase a pack of 12 Omni nocks an alignment tool comes with it. I used a 2 part epoxy to install the Omni's because it has a slow set time to allow you to align them with your vanes. Make sure you clean the inside of the shaft and nock before installation. I used some sand paper on the inside of the shaft and used Acetone to clean the inside of the shaft and the end of the Omni nock. Alcohol should work too. Its a real easy job to install them and you will like the Omni nocks.
Good luck, David

I just talked to engineering and they still don't have an ETA for me. Sorry.

Just got an email by the folks at Lumenock. They pretty much said they are waiting for permission from the paten holder to start making them.

That sounds like another way to "pass the buck"....

I just spoke with the engineers and it looks like we will have lighted Omni nocks in mid September. The first ones will be for a .297 inside diameter shaft.

Please pardon my ignorance- Is that the inside diameter of the Aluminum or Carbon shaft? All of my bolts are WR Aluminum 2219..

I believe it is the Tenpoint carbon Pro Elites. Inside measurement .297.

Here is a picture of the nock lit and unlit. What is really neat, but the pictures don't show, is the way it indexes properly every time. No more mis-aligned nocks after turning them off and on!

Are these being made by Ten Point or are they made by another lighted nock company?
