I bought the new Bohning Tower jig. It has an adaptor for crossbows. I have only done a couple of arrows but it is really easy and does a great job. It has a 2 degree offset.

The ultimate in adjust-ability and reliability although not a cheap investment is BITZENBURGER. You can play with more set up's than you'll probably ever want to. And you can easily set up two or more to consistently do the same thing.
No it's not fast and it will not do 3 or 4 vanes at the same time. But any fletching tool is better than none when you want to fletch your own arrows. It just gets down to personal preferences and budget issues.

I have 3 of them I like them so much. One is 15 years old and has done countless dozens of arrows for me and my friends. They are durable! They work great for flat nocks by the way.
But, if you shoot Blazer vanes, you may just want to get a jig made by Bohning especially for the Blazer. Al jigs are designed to impart an offset or helix over a 4" to 5" lenght of run. The Blazer being a shorter vane will benefit very little from the gradual offset. The Blazer Jig imparts a more aggressive helix on the vane over the short 2" distance. So if you want the best results the Blazer has to offer, its worth the $$$ to get the jig that matches the Vane.

6 Bitzenburgers since 1987. I used to fletch arrows for a sports shop and those bad boys paid for themselves pretty quickly. They all still work like the day I got 'em.

My new/old bow has a latch cover/scope mount that requires that the back end of the fletch be 1 3/4" from the back of the (flat) nock. Which jig will allow that, and accomodate 5" vanes?

Bitz hands down. I use Tenpoint nocks with the insert for 2219 shafts. Works great. I feel for those that use moon nocks.

I bought one just for that reason. And I may yet make a receiverfor one of my old Fletch-O-Matics.

Don't you guys forget Dorge's new Aerovane jig from Firenock. It tops the Bitz by a mile. I've used a Bitz for the past 20 years. Now it's time to upgrade!!
