I just thought i would share i realy like reading and seeing pics of your hunts.
I coped this from another sight hope thats ok. I just didnt want to retype.

I went out after work this morning. I got set up about 8:30 The turkeys were out.It was raining just a little. I called several times. But never heard anything.I though i would just set still for a little bit. Up the hill about 70yds i saw 2 turkeys feeding So i called real soft one of them gobbled. I called back and they started coming my way. It turned out to be 2 jakes. I thought i would play with them a little so i was calling just messing around. Then i heard a thunder gobble from where the jakes came from. The jakes bailed they came by me and went down over the hill. The gobbler would not come he stayed up on the hill out of sight i would say 100yds or so. I tried every call i knew but he was hung up. So i thought im picking a fight i gobbled he gobbled I double gobbled. He came running straight down the hill. And stopped at 25yds. And the Strike force let him have one. He jumped straight up flew 5yds hit the ground ran 5 more yards and that was it. He has a 10"main beard and a small 3" beard under it and 1" spurs. Body he was not all that big I did not think. The pop can is to show you the size of the hole the broad head left.

I thought i would go out after work this morning. I got set up around 8:30. I ranged a few trees. And started calling After maybe 30min I saw a lone turkey coming out the ridge. It was just walking not feeding. I called real soft and he went into strut. Then keep coming my way. He came to with in 50yds and turned. I called but he keep going. I started cutting he stopped and started my way again. I just set there as still as i could. He went in behind a fell down tree. I could only see parts of him now and then. I slipped and ranged the tree at 33yds. After i did that i lost him I did not see him for what seemed forever. I called real soft just a whine. And he gobbled I saw where he was then he had moved to my left. I thought he was coming out from the fell down tree. I raised the bow but he must saw me move. I scoped out the fell down back to my right and there he was looking straight at me. Throw the tree limbs I could see his head neck and his back. I put the cross hair on top of his head and pulled the trigger. He dropped dead on the spot. The broad head went in his mouth out the back of his head back then in his back and come out his tail. He was not a big bird He had a 6" beard.

Congrats! That bird looks like it was in a fight. Looks like he lost! I love that picture with your ghillie suit.

Great pictures and great hunting!  I could never had made that shot but I sure respect anyone that can.  Sounds (excuse the pun) like your calling is superb.  I will never forget my first turkey either, or most of the others for that matter.  My boxfull of calls are now silent, at least for now, but I hope you have many years of exciting and suspenseful hunts.  You have a fantastic start.  Good hunting and make unforgettable memories.

Thanks I have done a lot of shooting and looking for the arrow and broad head that would shoot good.Im pretty sure i have found it. I used the same head for both turkeys and a young groundhog. Its sharp and back in the quiver waiting.
The ghillie suit is some thing you need to try. Last year i used it and had deer with in feet of me. I had birds light on my head and shoulder and set there. I love every min. i spend in the woods.

I love your ghillie. I'm asking for one for my birthday. I also enjoy hearing about people who experience the little things about the woods without game being in front of them. That's why I can stay out all day.

Thank you. The main thing is scent control. If you like being in the woods and getting close to all came. You are going to love it. I made some mods to my turkey vest that lets you carry your quiver (that i made) Ghillie and a seat.
Very light you dont even know you have it on. I will take some pics and post them.

G5 Tekan the black ones. 1 1/2 cut. I traded for 5 one was used quite a bit. I used it for testing i sharpened it up took the first turkey with it. Sharpened it up again took a ground hog. Sharpened it once more and took the last turkey. Its now cleaned and sharp in my quiver waiting to go again. They say some states say they are barbed and against  the law.  So you might want to check if your thing about trying them.
