Not sure if you guys are aware of the situation in Australia,But
Crossbows are harder to own than Guns,and in NSW you cant
hunt with one at all:mad:,lucky i live in Victoria and just needed an
exemption

Yapp, heard something along the line from another aussie member on this site. Do you know why? Is there legislation or explanation why crossbows are prohibited or restricted in these provinces? What about compound bows, any restrictions on them?

Because of the actions of a couple of people,they decided to make
them a controlled weapon.I needed to write to the local firearms
registery to gain an exemption to shoot in my state:mad:

Yours is a GREAT country, mate. STUPID legislators tho. That's what happens when legislature us made into a full time ...damn fools think they have to justify their existence by  passing silly laws.
BTW, there are verts that shoot 400 fps now.

Very true...I hope that California doesn't get any stupid ideas...they usually do around here.
