as some of you are aware, the nj fish and game council has proposed the full inclusion of crossbows during all archery seasons. there is a public comment period on the proposed change that ends on 6/4/09 after which there will be a final vote by the nj fish and game council next month. the fish and game council can alter or even scrap the proposed change at the final vote and there are anti-hunting as well as bowhunting groups that are actively lobbying the fish and game council to do just that. all hunter supporting the full inclusion of crossbows are asked to take a minute and email the nj fish and wildlife and express their support for the full inclusion of crossbows in nj. the website address is listed below. once on the page, just click the "contact us" button to get to a form page. type in crossbows on the topic line then leave your comment. all that is needed is a name and email address. nj's crossbow hunters thank you.

I've been trying to do this but the contact page I get just shows and email for License/Permit assistance. Also, I read where the comments being accepted were on the NJ registry. Where is that? Can't find the exact spot.

Anyway, refer to DEP Docket No. 05-09-03/718.

once you click on the "contact us" button, the new page will have a link that says "email the division of fish and wildlife". click on that link then a form page will load. just type in crossbows in the subject box. the fish and game department will forward all emails to the fish and game council.

Good day to deal with people in high places; particularly lonely stewardesses.

The new Game Code includes the FULL INCLUSION of Crossbows . And as you well know there has been some (to say the least) opposition to their use. We must let the Council know that they have the backing of the Hunters in New Jersey for the INCLUSION of Crossbows. Write letters, or e-mail the Division of Fish and Game, and show your support in a
“Factual” way. Comments should praise the Council on the “PROFESSIONAL” way in which it has approached the Crossbow issue.
The Council should be complimented in that it has studied all the FACTS regarding the use of Crossbows. They have taken the time to listen to New Jersey’s Deer Biologists, Conduct a Scientifically sound survey of New Jersey hunters, and Researched the statistics from numerous other States.  From these FACTS, the Fish and Game Council of New Jersey is now proposing to allow Crossbows into all Bow seasons with no age restrictions.
I cannot stress how important it is to show support for the Inclusion of Crossbows. PLEASE write or e-mail your comments to F&G Director David Chanda. And have everyone else that you know that SUPPORTS Crossbow usage, do so also. We need to let them know they have our support.

Thanks Guys in advance for your support...
