My friend exporter from Canada to USA and Over Seas the Export Tax going up 9% April 2014 might be reason for the joint buy out or take over by BT maybe to save on export tax.

This is Not Good!! I sure hope they keep the Excalibur's customers service as BT has None. I was really considering a new matrix this year but not now.

Zrt1200 - You have me confused. You should be happy as you own a Bowtech. Maybe now they can learn how to make limbs for SZ380.

A good way saving money for both compaines is to have Bowtech limb maker not sure who and were Bowtech limbs are made but this will cut production cost .Its all about Saving Money and passing the saving on to the Customer .The limb maker will follow both companies spect sheets so The lmbs will be as they are now .

LOL, While they're at it Swiss Crossbow should join the "conglomerate" and rebirth the Twinbow!

Bowtech + Excalibur? YIKES!

I hope Bowtech doesn't pull the same crap that Tenpoint did when it bought out Horton. 801

If this the same group that owns Remington Marlin etc this will not be good for Excal or it's employees that group based on what I have observed of their acquisitions is profit first everything and everyone else comes last. I hope it is not the same firm. Man they wrecked Marlin quality went down CS is poor and they screwed many of their employees.

That said I already have my 380 so they cannot impact that bow other than warranty but they are beholden by prior agreements and warranty policy that is in writing.

Bowtech has a proven track record , they will find a way to circumvent their warranty obligations and having it in writing does not make any difference, Bowtech will take your money and run that's an established fact. Cactus

Bowtech's CEO is new as of July 2013.  Prior to that he was CEO of Savage Arms through a period of time that saw Savage improve quality and reputation quite dramatically. It seems premature to assume this partnership only has negative possibilities.

Plenty long enough to change the atmosphere there, but that hasn't happened.  So not really that early to assume.  BT stinks and so does their CS and many customers won't buy another bow either from EX-calibur or BT until they prove that things are changing.  Kind of time to put up or shut up.  They have a burn everything behind you kind of reputation and this hasn't changed.
