I have a "The Block" target that I use for my Bowtech compound and it works just fine.  Will this target stop a crossbow that shoots 310fps?

I wore a "black Hole" out last season using broadheads and it wasn't till it was falling apart that it wouldn't stop an arrow when one was placed in a badly worn spot. I just bought a "Block" last month. Not easy to pull arrows from.

It should stop your arrows for awhile.  Make sure to lube your arrows or you'll spend more time trying to pull them out then you will shooting them.  Most guys have found that a good field tip target is better for all year practice and a foam target is good for broadheads.

I agree with UL. I use my block to test my broadhead POI and that's it. All the rest of the practice is done on my Yellow Jacket: stops xbow arrows and easy removal.
Pulling arrows out of the block is a pita. I have to use special pliers.

I have one and i don't like it for shooting my crossbow into because it is so deep that some times there is so little bolt sticking out of both ends that it makes the bolt hard to grab.I use a Reinhart 18 in 1 and that stops the bolts really good and you cant even tell i shoot broad heads into it.

Yes. The arrows can't go more than 8 or 9 inches into the target. I can see how it could get pretty tore up and might have to be re-covered some day (maybe in a couple years) but so far it has taken a couple hundred hits over the last 3 months and still looks good. As long as it still shows the black dots and the rings clearly.

I have 2 of the morrell yellow jackets, There a good crossbow target with easy removal, Just bring then inside after each use because the staples rust on bottom, and the bag rots fast, As long as you keep it out of the sun and rain it will last a long time..
Best thing is to bring it inside after use, I made the mistake of leaving mine out in the weather..

I use the Morrell crossbow bags too. Suspend them in a tripod made of small trees to keep off ground. As for recovering, I sew the ends of two mesh grain sacks together, wrap around target and use hog rings to close. Sides are left open, can lash with big needle and black fishing line. Cost, about $2.00. Covers sell for $25 plus shipping.
Made my own targets using 2 grain sacks one inside the other, stuff with plastic groscery bags VERY TIGHT and/or old clothing. Works great just move your shots around. Have also experimented with rubber mulch in a sack. Works too but rather heavy.
M ake my own not just because I'm self reliant and somewhat frugal but largely because I have as many as 6 targets out at all times at various distance.
Last, found that spraying tip of arrow with Jig A Loo or CRC (heavy duty silicone lubricant from Wall Mart) really makes removal much easier. Also made and use arrow removal pliers Ischa mentioned for the really hard to remove or buried arrows.

PS Also hear good things said about Spider Web targets for field points only:  http://www.archeryta...ad.php?t=813751

PSS No longer practice with braodheads, Slicks shoot just like field tips for me

+1 on the Reinhart 18 in 1, I love that target and I have shot a Ton of arrows and bolts into it.  Really takes a beating and asks for more!

Doesn't spraying the arrows with this stuff make them penetrate even more into the target?

On your word I just picked up this target! Hope it works as well as you say but I am not that worried. I don't think you will lead us astray!

Oh and I already have a block for broadheads.

I have had the orange crossbow block target for about two months now.
This target is a 99.00 cost and is no better then the blackhole target.
We have been using them side by side and they are really close in wear factor with broadheds.
I WOULD OPT FOR THE 59.00 BLACK HOLE OVER THE 99.00 ONE.:)

will penatrate the 18" Block Fusion up to and including part of the fletching at 20 or 25 yards.  When this happens I usually have to refletch the arrows.  I have been looking at the Spider Web target as a replacement.  I hope for the best.

The Block Elite for x-bows shooting 400+'/sec has held up very well for hundreds of shots. I've shot appx 300 broadhead shots into it and 700 field pointshots in it. Over 700 of these shots were from my SF and the rest from Saf Mag(Parker). This tgt has really help up. I almost exclusively now shoot field points - so will use a Spyderweb as soon as I get one.
