Meat Hunter - I am glad to see that the Mississippi Room is  up and running!  We need all the members we can get between now and the next legislative session that starts in January.  Hopefully this will be the year that we get full crossbow inclusion.  We need not only residents, but all you non-residents as well, that come to the Magnolia State to hunt deer!  Mississippi has some great public and private land hunting that is available and one of the most liberal deer limits in the country.

Hey! I resemble that remark!  Good for you guys.  I was in Jackson a year ago last month to help DJH get sigs on petitions at the Sportsman thing.

Must of cocked xbows a gazillion times for the kids to shoot.  Good luck!

QUARTERLY ISSUES OF THE HORIZONTAL BOWHUNTER MAGAZINE (HBM)
As a member of the MCF/ACF, you will receive four issues a year of the crossbow hunting publication, the Horizontal Bowhunter Magazine. This unique and timely periodical is the first International quarterly magazine dedicated strictly to crossbows and crossbow hunting. The Horizontal Bowhunter Magazine keeps the MCF/ACF membership up to date on the latest innovations and developments in the crossbow industry, while providing members with an opportunity to share their personal experiences, hunting stories, photos and letters to the editor. HBM shares hunting tips and techniques that will make you a better hunter, while providing you with an avenue to share your ideas and opinions with thousands of other members that also enjoy the benefits of hunting all species of game with a crossbow.

MEMBERSHIPS IN BOTH THE MISSISSIPPI AND INTERNATIONAL CROSSBOW FEDERATION
Your membership fee includes your paid membership for the Mississippi Crossbow Federation, which is your state’s crossbow organization. It also includes your membership dues in the American Crossbow Federation, which is the International umbrella group. The American Crossbow Federation functions just like the NRA, only for crossbow hunters all over the globe.

MEMBERSHIP CARD AND MEMBER’S NACF BUMPER STICKER
Each member of the American Crossbow Federation will receive a membership package containing their first copy of the Horizontal Bowhunter Magazine, a membership card good for both state and national membership and an NACF Bumper Sticker to proudly display on their vehicle.

ENTER THE HBM BIG GAME REGISTER
As a member of the ACF, you are entitled to enter your trophy animals harvested with both horizontal and vertical bows in the official big game record book created for ALL archery hunters. The HBM Big Game Register is a history of animals taken by ACF members with ANY archery equipment, including the crossbow from around the world. Qualified animals that have been taken all the way back to 1975 may be entered into the register. This compilation of crossbow hunting statistics covers ALL big game species, from ALL continents, and with ALL archery equipment.

Mississippi Crossbow Regulations
Title 49-7-38 of the Mississippi Code. Public Notice (L3-3407)


General Crossbow Permit:
Anyone can hunt with a crossbow in Mississippi (without regard to age or physical disability) during all gun and primitive weapon deer seasons (except in the early archery season); with the purchase of a Hunting License and the purchase of a $10.00 General Crossbow Permit.


Special Crossbow License:
Those 65 years of age or if they have a medically certified disability can hunt with a crossbow in Mississippi during all gun and primitive weapon deer seasons (including the early archery season); with the purchase of a $5.00 Special Crossbow License.

Yes sir it is. Michigan is definitely close enough.

We have several Mississippi Crossbow Federation members who live in another state, but wish to have their membership listed as being Mississippi.

When you send in your membership application or renewal to the American Crossbow Federation, please ask Dan Hendricks to specifically list you as a member of the Mississippi Crossbow Federation.

Also, please indicate your e-mail address on your application so that we can place you on our e-mail list.

When you send in your membership renewal to the American Crossbow Federation, please ask Dan Hendricks to specifically transfer you from his Michigan list and add you to his Mississippi membership list.

We have no secondary Mississippi membership fee. Dans Mississippi list is our official membership list.
