I bought a Morrell Broadhead Target last year.

Very first shot (a ~450gr tipped with a Montec) passed through. Actually my backstop was wooden plank fencing that the target was leaning against. The Montec went clean through the target (18" thick?) and sunk nearly 3/4" into the plank fence. The nock was barely visible, fletching toasted. And that was a brand new target, very first shot (and only shot). I took it back the next day (with the arrow still in it) for a full refund. Then bought a Rinehart 18-1. To tell the truth, the Montecs are ripping the hell out of the Rinehart as well. It might last the guaranteed year but not much more than that.
As the 21st post in this thread says, none of the Bone Collector BH targets are for crossbows.

If it was the yellow Yellowjacket target, it was not designed to stop high KE arrows either. I shot through one brand new myself (it says that it will stop any broadhead Posted Image).

The black Yellowjacket target is for crossbows, It's almost twice as heavy, and stops everything that I have. I do get about 12-16" penetration depending on BH and bow used, and arrow removal isn't what I'd call easy.

I just got an 18-1, but haven't shot it yet. I expect that it will be better.

LOL. That 21st post was a day late and a dollar short for me. The Bone Collector that I bought said that it would stop any broadhead. Period.

How is your 18-1 holding up? Maybe I got an old one, but mine does not like the COC one-piece heads. Montecs and Hellrazors consistently pull chunks of foam out of the target.

My biggest gripe, however, is that I've now lost 5 inserts in that damn target. All combo target points. Some were factory glue jobs and some were mine (private labelled goat tuff). Now I have about 3 ounces of metal permanently sealed in the center. The COC points keep getting smashed.

My humble opinion... do not shoot target points into the 18-1. They're a pain to pull out and they have a nack for eating inserts.

I might just go back to the "disposable" open layer cheapoos.

I broke out the 18-1 today, and so far I've only shot it with mechanicals. I like it!
Removal is so much easier than the Yellowjacket, that I'm torn between selling the Yellowjacket, or keeping it for slower bows. I wouldn't recommend it for bows shooting anywhere near 300fps. Stuffing 20" arrows into it 12-16" doesn't leave you much to grab onto while sitting on the ground with both feet on the target.

Another little beef with the Yellowjacket Crossbow target, is that despite being weatherproof, it's black. And left out in the sun, the glue that holds it together softens and it tries to self-disassemble.

So far, the 18-1 is great. It stops everything that I've thrown at it. And I've shot it as close as 15yds. Broadheads used were Gator XP's, Rage 3-blade, Meatseekers, Reign, and Swhackers. Everyone pulled easily with just a tug.
I've decided that I'll have a Gator XP loaded for deer #1 this year, but I will shoot some fixed blade heads at the 18-1 next. I expect that it will stop them fine, but I can see where vented blade heads could very well tear it up more on removal.

Old Longhair, you got that right, I have one that has been in my shed all summer and the heat melted the glue that holds the front and back foam pieces on...Total piece of crap....
