Three days this past week morning and evening have hunted a urban hunt area I acquired close to home.
Each hunt I have observed a really nice eight point that looks to be a shooter.
I have moved with my climber stand several times after getting some type of pattern on this buck.
Each move has brought me closer to the buck being in range.
This evening I thought this is the day I bag this guy.
I parked my vehicle at the bottom of a little hill where it would be out of sight and not spook any game.
Got set up in my stand about 20 feet high where I had seen with my binoculars the buck  jumping a wood rail fence several times.Distance to the fence was 27 yards.
All ready with my Strykeforce I waited for the golden hour to arrive.
About 20 minutes before dark I was looking through the binoculars and saw what I thought someone messing around my Ford explorer.
Finer focus revealed the eight point buck standing not 10 feet from the front of my Explorer.
I could not believe my eyes, but there he was prancing around as if to say,you are not so smart Mr hunter.

I think your right Specialized, he knows darn well that, at that time of day, your truck would be the last place you'd be. Could your truck be considered baiting...:rolleyes:LOL

It's obvious that the deer was sizing up your vehicle to see if he could bound over it.  As you know from past experience, it possible to start a vehicle by "jumping" it. Jumping vehicles has been around for a long time, but I guess the deer are just now starting to pick up on it. I wouldn't worry, though. I doubt that most could drive a manual transmission since hoofs make for difficult shifting. I imagine your truck would just set there and "buck".

I hunt with a guy originally from Hungary, so his stories are potent with 'descriptives' and his accent just tops it off...he always tells a story about when he shot a deer that ran off in the direction of where he parked; there was very little blood wher he made his shot and only a few tracks to follow; he starts the 'widening circle' search pattern for @ 1 1/2 hours and then dusk settles in; he calls it a day and another lost deer; he comes out of the woods and there's the deer smack dead not 20 yards from his truck with a circular spray of blood all around the deer; derived that the entry wound and exit wounds plugged off due to a thick fat sack around the heart and WHAM...the blood pressure just popped the heart like a balloon and the damned thing crashed and turned in a circle before expiring; it delivered itself to his truck so he didn't have to drag it far...WOW!!!

UPDATE--------

Just to let everyone know, several asked,I did get this Buck and turns out he was actually a 10 point.
Made the mistake of coming to my rattling horns.

Urban zone buck.Update
Did a little hunting on my urban area hunting zone last week.
This Buck responded to my grunt call but would not get within 50 yards of my stand for about 5 minutes.
I had the scope on him most of that time.I could tell he was not huge, but had 10 points, and the idea of the special urban zone hunts is to remove over populated deer,so be it.
Could not believe how long he stayed around standing in an open grassy area.
I was pretty confident that if I could get him just a few yards closer I could make the shot with my Strykeforce.
Finally a car came down the road behind the buck with a very loud muffler ,distracted by the noise, the buck walked a few steps closer to wards the woods and me and stopped, looking in the direction of the car.
As he stood broadside at 44 yards on the range finder I settled the cross hairs of the Hawke scope on the heart area, figuring a good shot or a complete miss.I turned loose the 512 gr arrow with the Nap spitfire 125 ,I actually saw the arrow disappear in his lower front quarter.
He then kicked and slowly walked to wards me and fell not 50 feet from my stand.
The arrow had made a complete pass through and landed no where to be found ,as last light was fading fast. And yes the practice paid off, heart shot.my great wife,Lisa helped me load him up.And yes, this is the Buck Lisa put duct tape over the entrance wound to keep from leaking on the carpet.:D
