my partner and i dropped 2 nice bucks and a big doe on friday nite! what a blast! they were all munching on acorns in our favorite bushlot, we both shoot PSE copperheads. i use montec g-5's and he uses thunderhead xp's, saturday nite i was in a my Primos blind in suburbia behind a building watching a group of deer feed towards me through a beanfield, they have been coming out and eating the clover on the buildings back lawn, i was sitting quiet for about 2 hours and they were about 70 yards out, then Bam! the back door slams open and the cleaning lady comes out and stomps over to my blind and starts in with the 21 questions in a loud voice! :D i looked out and saw the white flags bouncing away across the field, i had to show her ID and explain who i was and she left me alone, but the nite was ruined! i just had to laugh, i have scoped out this field all summer and there is some very nice bucks creeping around, i tried again last nite and put my blind in the brush away from the building on the edge of the field and the biggest buck i have ever saw came out of the bush on the other side of the field; a good 14 pointer and heavy! he fed along the other side and walked into the bush at the other end; i almost cried, nobody hunts this little area of about 200 acres and it is crawling with deer. all in all it was an awesome long weekend of hunting

Well, except for the cleaning lady, you are starting off good.  I hope you can get that 14 pointer.  That would be awesome.

I'm doing okay although this body I am in isn't doing so hot. But the Lord is giving me a new one, so why worry about it?

i tried something new, i bought a pack of deer dirt and i took the front leg from the last buck and made up a scrape close to the urban bucks rubn tree, last nite i used the leg to do the diggin and dropped in the deer dirt and mixed it up again, i had smeared some urine from the dead buck onto the hoof pad and hair and the rubbed it on the tarsal gland- man I cant wait till tonite to see if this will bring him out! hopefully i can connect the dots here and make this happen

well the saga continues i was back in the blind in the city to see how my scrape worked, lots of tracks in it around it, about 6:30 the big doe comes in with her smaller partner she sniffs the scrape then proceeds to eat corn giving me a 30 yard broadside slightly quartering away, i turn on the lumizone line her up and letr go, now the bad part; the arrow hits and i see it hit the ground- i picked up a pack of rage 2 blades to try- she jumped and ran into the  bean feild, stops and licks her side just at the rear of the rib cage i see some blood on her through the binocs- she lays down, neither deer knew what happened and they meandered off into the tall grass on the other side of field.
i waited till dark 35 min and pulled out, i took my gear back to car and got my lites, i found the arrow it had some blood and hair and a little meat on the end where the broadhead snapped off rite above the O-ring, i did a search and could not find the head and no blood! i grid searched the bean feild and  walked the grass on the other side and no blood whatsoever, i searched for 2 and a half hours before i quit cuz the fog was rolling in. man i felt like  on the drive home, the other rages will be going to my nephew for rabbits i guess, and i am going to pick up some more G5 montecs tonite. my partner is going to look for any sign but he says if i cant find any it doesnt look good

well yesterday my partner couldnt find any sign of the doe i shot monday nite and i didnt see her out in the field while glassing last nite so i think i wasted a really nice doe. i took my rig home and shot the practice rage2 and one live rage2 and i put them im a 1.5 inch group at 30 yards with four consecutive shots, they fly real nice but they do not like to hit bone i guess, i will give them one more try this weekend. Still no sign of the urban buck im gonna try a doe buck bomb this weekend and/or some tinks 69 im going to sit the whole day and see what comes out
