Yep, I think that WBC (Wild Black Cherry) will make the B&C (Broadleaf and Conifer) book.  Got 'em around 6:00 late this afternoon as a flock of turkeys silently snuck past my pop-up blind in a steady drizzle. Wouldn't ya know that the only window that I didn't open because of the rain blowing in is the one they decided to keep between me and them until they were almost by me. I had to take the 30 yard shot left handed out the right side of the blind, the arrow zipping past the selected bird and skipping off the ground right into the WBC. It burried the three-blade Muzzy such that it will take a wood chisel to dig it out. By-the-way, thanks to Wendy and the folks at Muzzy for their directions in helping me figure out how to assemble those pesky broadheads. There's actually a video that's very informative on how to do it. From the looks of what I can see sticking out of the WBC, that's a tough broadhead!

(p.s. Got any recipes for a tough ol' WBC?)

Tom it sounds like that turkey had his shields up.  Make sure to use a shield piercing muzzy the next time.  As to a recipe:  take saw and remove part of WBC that is attempting to assimilate your arrow, once your arrow and muzzy are safely removed from the WBC, simply drop the WBC into a pan filled with 3 cups of water and 1/4 cup of sugar.  Bring mixture to a boil and remove what's left of the WBC.  Allow mixture to cool, add ice (some also like to add a little liquid wild turkey also) and check for proper taste/consistency.  NOTE:  not responsible if you try this recipe!!!!!!!

DaveHawk...That 4" maple will be a whole lot more tender than my 15" B&C wild black cherry. Fried maple laminations...my, don't that sound yummy! I'll have to pressure cook mine or its bark will be worse when I bite! (Sorry, I just couldn't resist!)  Tom
