before daylight by the queen doe. I didn't see her walk in till it was too late and I had opened a water bottle and taken a drink. I was getting ready for shootable light, the feeder went off and I thought I had time for one last sip before sun up. She must have been bedded down close and watched me walk in. She knew just where to walk to check out if the fat man was in the tree .

I missed a shot at 8:00 Charlie. I wasn't ready with the bow up to my shoulder and at rest when he came strolling in and didn't stop at all. Just nose to the ground. He was there and then gone.

Going out again this evening.

I'm doing okay although this body I am in isn't doing so hot. But the Lord is giving me a new one, so why worry about it?

BlackBoarDown, good luck - ya gotta have that sixth sense for those deer.  I've always been amazed at how quietly deer can move even though the driest of areas where every breeze causes noise.  Yet the deer come and go w/o a sound.  Hope you connect.

Your not alone. I woke up late which is never for me. Anyway it's getting light so I through my leafy camo on, doused myself with kill scent, pinned a couple of pine scent on me and figured I cut through another part of the woods to get to my blind.
Man, I did my best Elmer Fudd. Just a couple of steps (leaves were wet) and I would hunker down next to a tree and scan the woods. After about 20 min. or so I thought I was clear. I stopped crouched and scanned the woods and not 20 ft. away were 2 bucks and a doe cutting me a real hard eye. Like what the heck is that. They must have watched me the whole time. I was down right embarrassed. The 2 1/2 year old buck snorted a few times and they all took off. Then the smaller  year and a half old uck made a U turn and headed back to me, shaking it's head and snorting the whole time. Is all I can figure is they just did not know what the heck I was. But I know one thing.
I was busted!

I hunted hard for the last 3 days. If I did get busted, I didn't know 'cause I didn't see anything. I think that big spotlight in the sky hurt the hunting.
Oh well, I'll be there again next weekend.

I know it changed the patterns of movement. I could almost set my watch by a few regulars but all of a sudden they changed the route they take and the times. Guess that's why it's called hunting and not killing .
