not sure were to start, WOW!! i finally went today and look and shot one,WOW! construction is second to none complex hi-tech simple. balance,it is unreal even for the weight of the bow,i can hold this thing with my rt arm straight out in front of me and hold it steady, with very little fatiuge or pain, i cannot do this with any other bow. my wife even said she could see the difference! then the next possible set back was cocking this thing, unbeleivable!!! with the rope idid not have any trouble what so ever. i shot this thing 20 times, cocked it 19 and my shoulder hurts today the weather its snowing again here. noise very quiet, quietest crossbow i have ever shot! there is more noise from the bolt impacting the target, and i mean impacting! speed is awsome!!! shot 2 lited nocks WOW! drawing this thing up to place a shot is unreal its right there, every thing. the folding stock its radical! i can see this coming into practical use in a shot. i have been very sceptical about this bow have read every post reveiw talked to jim several times talked with pro-shops, was somewhat hesitant about this reverse draw technology, but now i have had a chance to actually see it and shoot it its so cool. oh ya the trigger on this thing is so smooth, virtually no trigger pull deveation after the shot, allowing to stay focused and see shot placement! in conclusion in my opinion this crossbow is what everyone says it is ! this thing is built like nothing ive ever seen in a crossbow! IM HOOKED!!
calling jim monday!

So I'm not the only one who thinks this bows handling and shooting characteristics are second to none, I've never shot a cross bow this good.

Glad to hear you decided to try something new. This bow is every thing that Jim says it is and then some. I have let at least 25 people shoot my scorpyd and they all have the same response, a big smile:D Once you try it, it is easy to see, feel and hear the difference.

Hey guys,
I'm going to get to look and handle one sometime after Christmas when I make a trip to PA if of course it is still available. I've heard they were heavy compared to other crossbows and was wondering if that caused any fatigue? I've seen where your posts show it is well balanced so I was wondering if you have handled other crossbows that you could compare it to? I presently shoot a Parker Tornado that weighs in around 8 pounds but I really do not like its trigger pull. My style of tree stand hunting really needs a crossbow that isn't too wide axle to axle. I once owned an Excalibur with a great trigger but its 36" wide limbs cost me a shot at a "once in a lifetime buck" so I went to a shorter limbed crossbow. The Scorpyd's ain't cheap but they don't cost too much more than Parker that I own either.
I also posted this question under the "other crossbows" section but saw this thread and thought I might get a faster answer.
Thanks

The Scorpyd is much narrower than the ex cal as you stated. The trigger pull is under 3 lbs. and the weight is a balanced 9 lbs. Since the riser is in the back the actual balance point is in the fore arm area. At 125 lbs of pull it has 110 lbs k e. and Super quiet.
I am using Grim Reapers and blasting thru both sides and sticking in the ground 5". Grim reaper is sending me some new Cross bow broadheads. Supposed to cut a bigger hole and do more damage to the deer in stead of the ground.

Everyone of my friends and family who have shot mine have been amazed how much fun it is to shoot and how accurate it is.
My cousin's son had never shot a gun or bow of any type until he shot my Scorpyd.
He shot it around 20 times at 20 and 30 yards.
He hit the bullseye 10 times in a row at 20 yards and 9 out of 10 at 30 yards.
My uncle, who was watching us shoot, refused to shoot it because he was afraid he would want to buy one if he did.
The balance and good trigger make the bow very easy to shoot accurately.
I've held most of the other brands and they don't compare balance wise.
The Scorpyd feels lighter in weight than other brands of similar weight because of its outstanding balance.
Few can challenge the Scorpyd in overall construction and finish.

Scorpyd Crossbows...Nothing else compares !
I'd rather kill with a crossbow than wound with a compound !
"Compound Bowhunters"...Why do you fear the more humane and efficient weapon ?
